Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja reveals her marriage being CURSED by someone: 'My father was against…'

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s rumours of separating after 38 years of marriage emerged online earlier this year, worrying fans. Sunita had previously refuted those reports, but the speculation continued, leading her to make repeated denials. In a recent conversation with Deccan Talks With Asif, she mentioned that her marriage had been cursed by someone.

Regarding the rumors about her marriage, Sunita Ahuja chuckled and stated,"Pata nahi kis ki nazar lag gayi (I don’t know who cursed us). I won’t let anyone take my husband away from me." In the same conversation, Sunita recalled how her father was against their marriage.

Sunita recalls Govinda's mother's support, Sunita said, “When I got married to Govinda, he lived with his big family, but I loved him. Even now, I am living at Govinda’s home because of my mother-in-law. She wanted us to get married. She had told him, ‘Chichi, if you leave Sunita, tu bhikari ban jayega (If you leave Sunita, you will become a beggar). I remember this dialogue."

Their journey began in their youth, a tale of two hearts intertwined long before the glitz and glamour of Bollywood. Govinda, then a B.Com student, and Sunita, a young girl in the 9th grade, crossed paths. Their connection sparked amidst the familiar surroundings of Sunita's sister's home, where Govinda's maternal uncle resided. Despite initial challenges, their bond deepened, eventually leading to marriage in 1986. Their union, a secret kept from the public for four years, blossomed into a family.
