Dhanashree Verma’s Family DENIES 60 Crore Alimony Claims; Lawyer Reveals the Truth

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma tied the knot in December 2020, and their relationship has been in the public eye ever since. However, for quite some time now, rumors about their troubled marriage and divorce have been circulating online. Recently, a shocking claim stated that Chahal would be paying ?60 crore as alimony to Dhanashree. Now, her family and lawyer have come forward to dismiss these reports as false.

According to Bombay Times, Dhanashree’s family expressed their anger over these speculations. They issued an official statement.

We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumors whatsoever.

The statement also criticized the media for spreading unverified information. Calling such reports "deeply irresponsible," her family urged journalists to fact-check before publishing anything. “Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy,” they added.

Meanwhile, Dhanashree’s lawyer, Aditi Mohan, also addressed the controversy, stating, “I have no comments to make on the proceedings, the matter is currently sub judice.” She further pointed out that a lot of misleading information has been circulating and urged media houses to verify facts before reporting.

For those unaware, reports claimed that Chahal and Verma’s final divorce hearing took place at Bandra Family Court, Mumbai. The judge allegedly asked them to attend a counseling session before proceeding with the separation. It was reported that both had mutually agreed to part ways, citing "compatibility issues" as the reason. Rumors also suggested that they had been living separately for the past 18 months.

While the internet continues to speculate about their relationship, both Chahal and Dhanashree’s family have made it clear that the ?60 crore alimony claims are completely false.
