Bhooth Bangla: Akshay Kumar wraps up Priyadarshan's film; terms Wamiqa Gabbi as 'ever-surprising'

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s reunion film Bhooth Bangla has wrapped up its shoot. The final shoot was of a romantic song near a waterfall. We can see Akshay Kumar wearing a hat, olive green shirt and simple cotton trousers. Wamiqa Gabbi is also with him in a chiffon saree and her hair in a braid. It looks like it was shot near the famous waterfall of South India, Athirappilly. Akshay Kumar is making a big comeback in the comedy genre with movies like Housefull 5, Welcome To The Jungle, Hera Pheri 3 and Bhooth Bangla. His partnership with Priyadarshan has always been a successful one.

Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi shoot for a romantic song

Fans have termed Bhooth Bangla as the prequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa. It has been shot in the same palace as Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The makers have also got Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani on board. Both have excellent comic timing. The cast also includes Mithila Palkar. Akshay Kumar and Tabu are headlining the movie. Ektaa Kapoor is the producer of Bhooth Bangla. This is a classic Bollywood horror comedy with every element bringing in the laughs in his or her own style. Bhooth Bangla will reportedly release in April 2026. Initially, it was reported that it would come in second half of 2025.

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are one of the most successful and loved actor – filmmaker combos. They worked together in Khatta Meetha, Garam Masala, Hera Pheri, Phir Hera Pheri, De Dana Dan, Bhagam Bhag and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Akshay Kumar had been focused on patriotic movies and biopics for some years but now wants to return to his core mass market.
