Priyadarshan expresses SHOCK over Paresh Rawal's exit from 'Hera Pheri 3'; reacts on Rs 25 cr lawsuit

Speaking to Amar Ujala, the filmmaker shared his confusion over Rawal’s abrupt exit. According to him, the initial commitment from all three lead actors—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal—was in place before filming began. They had even shot for a day without any issues. Everything appeared on track until Rawal’s exit became public. What left the director most puzzled was the complete lack of communication from the actor’s side.

Priyadarshan mentioned that there were no calls or texts from Rawal explaining the decision. What further deepened the mystery was the fact that both Rawal and Kumar had recently wrapped up work on another film titled Bhoot Bangla, where, as per the director, their dynamic remained professional and smooth throughout. No visible friction was observed during that shoot, adding another layer of intrigue to the current fallout.

When questioned about reports suggesting that Akshay Kumar may have incurred financial losses and possibly even filed a legal claim of ?25 crore against Rawal, Priyadarshan clarified his position. He said that since Kumar was overseeing the rights and production of the film, any losses would likely affect him directly. However, the director reiterated that he was not privy to the personal exchanges or any behind-the-scenes fallout between the two actors.

“I’m just the director here,” he reportedly said, adding that he hadn’t received any explanation from Rawal, nor had there been any conversation regarding the matter. The lack of clarity has left him completely unsure of what really transpired.
