Apart from Sanam Johar, THESE popular actors approached to lead Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin's new season

With Star Plus' super hit show 'Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin' taking a leap and the current cast of the show making an exit, speculations surrounding which actors have been approached for the new instalment of the show have been doing several rounds. A recent media report suggested, Sanam Johar being roped in as the new lead of the show.

Well, India Forums got in touch with our well placed sources closely associated with the show and we now have the list of all the actors who have been approached to essay the titular face of the show post leap.

1. Rohit Chandel: Last seen in Pandya Stores, Rohit Chandel was last approached for the show in December, however, the actor has now already started shooting for Sony TV's upcoming show. Rohit's name was recommended to the makers by the channel.

2. Sai Ketan Rao: Last seen in Bigg Boss OTT 2, Sai Ketan Rao was also approached to essay the titular character post leap in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. However, Sai has been shooting for a web series and will be occupied for both January and February, as a result of which, this could not work out.

3. Zaan Khan: From what our sources tell us, Zaan has also been approached for Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin and has also apparently done a mock test too.

4. Vaibhavi Hankhare: Marathi actress Vaibhavi Hankhare has been approached to essay the female lead of the show and has also done a mock shoot with Sanam Johar.

While none of the above names are confirmed, our well placed source informs us that the makers of the show are looking to cast 'complete freshers' or actors from the 'Marathi entertainment industry' this time around. Our source says, ''The makers are looking forward to cast marathi actors, Instagram personalities or complete freshers. Lets see what works out.''
