Star Plus’s popular daily soap Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is all set to go off-air in the first week of July 2025. The show first aired in October 2020 and has managed to capture the hearts of audiences with its emotional storytelling, strong performances, and dramatic twists for nearly five years.

The show began with Ayesha Singh, Neil Bhatt, and Aishwarya Sharma in the lead roles. Their characters and chemistry struck a chord with viewers, helping the show become one of the top-rated on television. Over time, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin underwent many changes and took a big leap in the story, introducing a brand-new cast and direction.

In early 2024, the makers introduced a generation leap that brought in actors like Param Singh, Vaibhavi Hankare, and Sanam Johar. However, the new storyline and characters didn’t create the same impact as the original cast. The viewers struggled to connect with the fresh faces and their plots, leading to a drop in ratings.

Characters like Savi (played by Bhavika Sharma) and Rajat (played by Hitesh Bharadwaj) were removed after the leap. Bhavika later returned to the show, and Param Singh joined as a new lead, but their pairing failed to generate buzz or win over the audience.

When contacted for a comment on the show going off-air, Param Singh shared,“I have no idea about the off-air news. We haven’t received any official confirmation.”

Despite efforts by the production team, including introducing mystery elements and changing the time slot, the ratings didn’t improve. The chemistry between Bhavika and Param’s characters didn’t appeal to fans, and the show struggled to recapture its original popularity.

A source close to the production said,'The channel has decided to end the show y the first week of July. Bhavika’s comeback didn’t have the impact we hoped for, and her pairing with Param Singh didn’t work out as planned.'

Previously, actors like Shakti Arora and Sumit Singh were also part of the second generation, along with Bhavika and Hitesh. But even their presence couldn’t help the show return to its earlier success.

As Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin prepares to bid farewell, it leaves behind a strong legacy of emotional storytelling and characters that touched millions of viewers across India.
