The Indian television industry is gearing up for a major shuffle as several long-running and recently launched shows are set to wrap up in the coming weeks. From iconic family dramas to experimental reality series, multiple popular titles across major networks and OTT platforms are reaching their finale. Here's a detailed look at the shows going off-air, the reasons behind their closure, and their final airing dates.
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin:

After enjoying success since its premiere in 2020, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin experienced a sharp dip in ratings post its second-generation leap. Audience disengagement following frequent cast exits, including Vaibhavi Hankare and a lack of connection with new leads, prompted the decision to end the show. For the uninformed, Vaibhavi, who earlier replaced Bhavika Sharma to essay the new lead of the show following a leap, was later replaced by the actress again. However, the show failed to live up to the audience expectations and continued following a downward trend. Currently, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is led by Bhavika Sharma and Param Singh.
Bhagya Lakshmi:

After nearly four years on air, Bhagya Lakshmi ended its journey with an emotional goodbye. Originally launched in August 2021, the show built a strong following around the turbulent love story of Lakshmi and Rishi. Though there were earlier discussions about introducing a 20-year leap, the decision was ultimately made to wrap up the series. Aishwarya Khare’s heartfelt farewell on social media underlined the emotional connection the cast had with the show. Bhagya Lakshmi is led by Aishwarya Khare and Rohit Suchanti and was produced by Ektaa Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. It also saw popular faces like Smita Bansal, Maera Mishra and more in pivotal roles.
Megha Barsenge:

Megha Barsenge, a newer addition to Colors TV's lineup, explored themes of emotional betrayal and empowerment through the journey of its lead, Megha. Despite, the makers of the show heading for a generation leap, the story line of the show could not impress the viewers and as a result of the same, the show is set to be axed. While no official finale date has been confirmed, sources indicate the wrap-up is expected by July 2025.
Laughter Chefs 2:

Combining the unlikely pair of comedy and cooking, Laughter Chefs 2 brought together popular TV faces in a light-hearted format. Hosted by Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek, the show delivered entertainment with a dose of competitive chaos. As the finale nears by late July, fans can expect an all-out cook-off filled with celebrity banter and behind-the-scenes fun.
Shiv Shakti- Tap Tyaag Tandav

Ram Yashvardhan and Subha Rajput's Shiv Shakti-Tap Tyag Aur Tandav is all set to conclude after a successful run. Focusing on the philosophical and emotional dimensions of the Shiv–Shakti dynamic, the show earned praise for its storytelling and performances. Its exit marked a well-timed wrap for a series that had reached its narrative peak.
Doree 2:

The second season of Doree continued the story of its titular protagonist, this time exploring her efforts to empower the Bunkar (weaving) community through her startup, Kaashi-Kala. Priyanshi Yadav was roped in as Doree, a determined and socially conscious young woman, while Ishaan Dhawan played Maan, her supportive partner and love interest. While the show introduced a fresh storyline and featured a promising lead pair, it struggled to maintain strong ratings due to a late-night slot. Despite a passionate viewer base, Doree 2 ended its run on June 13, 2025, less than six months after its launch in January. Its conclusion paves the way for a new show, Noyontara, in the same time slot, though fans of the show expressed disappointment at its early departure. Still, Doree 2 is remembered for its progressive themes and compelling central performance.
These show conclusions reflect broader shifts in audience preferences and the growing demand for concise, impactful storytelling. As OTT platforms continue to reshape viewer expectations, even traditional broadcasters are adapting by refreshing their programming lineup more frequently.
While fans are sad to see these shows go, the endings also make room for new stories to begin. Whether you watched for the drama, laughter, or inspiration, each of these series left a mark — and in television, that’s the legacy that matters.
