Alia Bhatt Replaced by Priyanka Chopra in SS Rajamouli’s RRR? Here’s the truth

Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has also led to a massive outrage against Bollywood celebrities over the highly discussed ‘nepotism’ debate. Many A-lister celebs like Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Sonam Kapoor among others are facing the wrath of trolls for their alleged groupism and negligence towards new talents in the industry.

Among these names, Alia Bhatt has been the biggest target of the trolls, partly because of her father Mahesh Bhatt’s connection to Rhea Chakraborty. Following the blame game saga, a new rumour paved the way of Alia losing out on her much-awaited project RRR.

Several reports surfaced online that suggested Alia Bhatt getting replaced in SS Rajamouli’s RRR and also stated that actress Priyanka Chopra is being considered to take her place. In no time, the rumours of Alia getting replaced by Priyanka spread like a wildfire.

However, according to a Pinkvilla report, a source from Alia Bhatt’s team has rubbished such reports and confirmed that the actress is still a part of SS Rajamouli’s RRR. The source added that Alia is prepping for her character and is also learning the Telugu language for her part in the film.

Besides Alia, RRR will also feature Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Samuthirakani, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran among others in lead roles. 

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is gearing up for her upcoming release Sadak 2.  The movie marks Mahesh Bhatt's directorial debut after 20 years and also stars Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles. Sadak 2 will release on Disney+ Hotstar on August 28 2020.
