Ajay Devgn’s signature ‘finger dance’ returns; Sparks fresh meme wave with ‘Pehla Tu Duja Tu’

Ajay Devgn is back, not just on screen, but on meme pages too! The actor’s latest romantic number, ‘Pehla Tu Duja Tu’ from the upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2 has dropped online, and while the song hits all the emotional notes, it’s Ajay’s dance moves that have once again stolen the spotlight for all the hilarious reasons.

Released on Monday, the soulful track showcases the blossoming love story between Ajay’s character, Jassi, and Mrunal Thakur’s Rabia, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Scotland. Sung beautifully by Vishal Mishra, with music and lyrics by Jaani, the song marks a softer, more romantic turn in what is otherwise a lively action-comedy franchise.

But while the serene visuals and melody have their charm, what truly set the internet abuzz was Ajay Devgn’s now-iconic dancing style or rather, the lack of it. Social media exploded with memes and reels as fans poked fun at his minimalistic moves, especially a step where he simply moves his fingers. This isn’t the first time the actor has been trolled for his “non-dance dance”, his earlier track ‘Dhoom Dhaam’ with Yami Gautam had sparked a similar meme wave.

Son of Sardaar 2, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, is a spiritual successor to the 2012 film Son of Sardaar, which starred Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha. The sequel brings back Jassi in a fresh storyline with a stellar cast including Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, and more. Notably, the late Mukul Dev will appear posthumously in his role as Tony Singh Sandhu.
