Neeru Bajwa on 'Son of Sardaar 2' co-star Ajay Devgn: "Got along easily with our natural Punjabi connection"

Neeru Bajwa is returning to Bollywood after 12 years, and her next film is Son of Sardaar 2, where she stars opposite Ajay Devgn. Known for her strong presence in Punjabi cinema, Neeru’s comeback to Hindi films has caught the attention of many fans.

The teaser of Son of Sardaar 2 was recently released, and while Ajay Devgn’s return as Jassi Sardaar was expected, Neeru’s appearance in the title track added an extra spark. In the song, she is seen dancing in a colourful Punjabi outfit and matching steps with Ajay. The two bring a light and energetic vibe to the screen.

Neeru shared that she rehearsed for two days before shooting the song to make sure the steps looked natural. She also helped bring in the authentic Punjabi feel on set, encouraging the crew to get into the rhythm. Ajay and Neeru also rehearsed together and, according to her, their Punjabi background helped them connect easily. 'We got along so easily with our natural Punjabi connection,' Neeru said. 'Ajay sir is humble and easy to work with.'

She also mentioned that Son of Sardaar 2 is not just about comedy and dance, it also reflects Punjabi culture and traditions. 'This film brings the spirit of Punjab to audiences around the world. We truly enjoyed working on it and hope people feel that when they watch it,' she added.

Neeru plays the role of Dimple Sardaarni in the film, opposite Ajay’s Jassi. The film features a big ensemble cast and mixes humour with cultural elements. While Son of Sardaar 2 continues the story of the first film, it also introduces new characters and plotlines.

For Neeru’s fans, this film marks her much-awaited return to the Hindi film industry, and her pairing with Ajay Devgn has already started conversations online. The film is all set to hit the big screens on 25th July 2025.
