So I m back after long. IDK how many of you remember me or my story but do give it a read if you can.
Chapter 24
DK and and Shaurya sat discussing the course of action and the other important details about getting Mehak credit for what she did.
DK assured Shaurya of everything and told that the girls too would be brought back. Shaurya was relieved that at least he was apart of something nice and Nobel but his cause of utmost concern didn't change.
He was practically by Mehak's side ever since the last three days but she hadn't opened her eyes. Doctors said there was improvement but he was just too restless and nothing could have soothed him but Mehak's voice.
The senior doctor had told him that due to the injury on Mehak's head, a clot has been formed in a very delicate part of her brain and they didn't want to operate on her because that would have been really dangerously and they were hoping for the clot to dissolve on its own. There was sure decrease in the size of the clot but it wasn't fully vanished and that was the sole reason that the doctors were keeping Mehak under meds and unconscious.
Another 48 hours later, Shaurya was forcefully sent home to rest but he was too unsure to go, he didn't want to be late incase Mehak opens her eyes. He was too worried that she might be too scared to wake up in a hospital room attached to all those machines especially when the Bhallas were being kept away from her as they were protection and underground for sometime for safety reasons. Shaurya wanted to be there for her because she had been there for him even when it meant really risking her life. He was however sent away. He didn't rest, all he did was just freshen up and change to go the hospital.
The media wanted some spice but all they got was a story of how Mehak Sharma helped the Police to track down the gang and the sad demise of famous singer Nikki and the critical state of Ajay Parmar. The police obviously kept the officers anonymous and only the official face of the department gave the statements. While Shaurya was coming back the media tried getting some answers but Shaurya successfully dodged the questions and left behind his PR manager to release an official statement. But he surely got late because he was practically trapped in his own house, that guy dealt with such evil gang but the media was too much for him, one can blame his emotional state but however he was very late and unknowingly he dozed off on his sofa and his parents just let him be because they felt he needed some rest.
Meanwhile at the hospital, Mehak's condition was much better and Doctors withheld some meds to make her conscious so that they can understand the effect of the clot on her. Three hours later she was conscious, still very weak and fragile she woke up and tell first word that left her mouth was Shaurya, the nurse standing nearby could barely listen to her because of the weak voice but she made it out and smiled to herself witnessing the true love. She had seen Shaurya suffering for her while she laid on the very same bed unconscious and now she was witnessing Mehak waking up from an induced coma taking the name of the one she loves the most.
The doctors did some preliminary tests to check her senses and some complex scans to figure out the left over miniscule part of the clot, they were very encouraged by the positive results but they still wanted her to take full rest. While she was awake, she was told about Bhallas being safe and away due to safety reasons but she wanted to know about someone else too, before the meds too she asked about him but before she could have her answer, she was in deep slumber.
It was only then Shaurya reached back at the hospital, he was told at the reception that she was conscious, he came in running and grinning ear to ear while crying at the same time. It was so long that he felt she was going to be with him physically and emotionally. But as he reached her floor, he was disappointed because he got yo know that she had been put to sleep again so that she can recover fully.
He was sad but the reports and Doctors analysis made him optimistic. DK came again to visit after two days. It was 7 days she was hurt, Nikki was dead and Ajay had spoken a word. Shaurya was sleeping with his head on Mehak's bed. He was told that Mehak was to gain consciousness that day and he just couldn't take the chance of going away for a second too. DK came in and initiated the conversation, a few moments later Mehak moved her hand that Shaurya was holding, only to hold it even tightly with whatever power she had only yo not let go. Her body shivered, Shaurya got scared ...he didn't know what was happening and he called for the doctors. Doctors came in and that was the moment that Mehak woke up with a jerk, she didn't fully get up but her little jump on the bed was felt by Shaurya. It seemed that she woke up from a nightmare but calmed down immediately after seeing Shaurya. The doctors checked her and assured Shaurya she was finally okay but a little weak . Shaurya was so happy in that moment. He didn't care for anyone in the room, his boss, the nurses or even the team of doctors, he just kissed her forehead and sat beside her. His eyes watered. Doctors gave them their privacy but the nurse and Dk were still there.
Mehak smiled and the words she said were "I love you"and smiled. Shaurya said "I love you too babe and I think I made that clear quite early, it is just you replying too late and smiled. He bent down again to kiss her on the forehead again. He said that he knew that it wasn't the right time but he said he couldn't wait any longer and proposed marriage, Mehak said yes. Shaurya then asked her to not pull any such stunts anymore, before Mehak could say anything DK hijacked the conversation and said that he had a proposal too. Both Shaurya and Mehak turned to him and stared. What DK said next was not on the list of things that Shaurya ever wanted to listen.
DK proposed Mehak a position in the department but not a secret one.

Chapter 25
Mehak said that she was ready and she would always be there for any mission. It would not be exaggeration if one said that Shaurya was angry but he said nothing and respected her decision on the promise that she isn't coming to get admitted in the hospital untill and unless she is in labour. Mehak blushed and Shaurya smirked. DK cleared his throat and both of them were back to the real world.
Almost two weeks later Mehak was fine enough to go home but the cast on her shoulder was yet to stay for another two weeks. Her left shoulder needed that cast to recover. Mehak had a chat with the Bhallas on the video chat and was assured of their well being. They were being kept in hiding because Mandar was still on loose and was finding a way to avenge all doom that occurred to the whole gang especially his brother ie Anjali's bf.
Mehak was as it is under security because Shaurya and DK both were by her side. Shaurya took her to her apartment along with her nurse so she could pack essentials and then move to his mansion which was under security too.
The nurse did the packing while Mehak and Shaurya had a cup of coffee, A very mild cup of coffee because that was all Mehak could have had with her current medicines.
They moved to Khanna mansion and senior Khannas welcomed her. DK was there and they all discussed all the happenings of the previous months. DK told that Rajeev, Anjali and her bf, Swetlana and Sanjay too were under arrest and Mandar too was being searched, his last trace was found in Turkey where he was trying to erase some evidence bit before the police there could have caught him he was successful to run away. DK skipped the detail of Sonal being involved and killed and Need being adopted by him and his family and was under regular sessions to clear his mind of recent happenings and clearing the good vs bad picture in his mind. But you don't tell such details to someone who just recovered from brain clot.
Ajay too was under therapy after Nikki's funeral. He had a complete breakdown post giving the tributes to Nikki's pyre. Mehak was very sad for Nikki but she had made her peace with that on the doom's day itself.
Mehak after signing some official documents regarding the case and her future with the forces retired to upstairs' guest bedroom where Awara had already kept her stuff and arranged it properly.
Shaurya had tipped Awara to keep Mehak's stuff in his room but Awara went with Mehak's tip and kept her stuff in the guest bedroom. But Shaurya was Shaurya and he moved to her room too after changing in his PJ's .
Mehak was lying on the bed not yet asleep just looking at the ceiling aimlessly. It was that moment Shaurya entered. He wore no shirt and just a low waist PJ and settled in her bed and startled Mehak.
