Hey Vedika thank you for appreciating it .
Yeah even I am eagerly awaiting what happens today and this week

But considering the quality of the work, if I don't then I am at fault. @tibs, seriously yaar you should consider leaving your corporate vampires and jump into the world of literature. I genuinely believe you will shine (and play in millions 😉), if you take the plunge. Okay, enough of my advices. Now the chapters ...

Chapter 1 - Mahek & Fire.
She has worshipped the fire of the furnace throughout her life as her Araadhya. Little did she know that fire can take other forms as well, but still be her Araadhya only. She realised it when a 6' towering inferno incinerated her spirit mercilessly. She tried to control that conflagration, but to be defeated only. Dejected she tried to flee, only half-heartedly. But that fire has already engulfed her very soul which it has burnt. Slowly the same towering inferno went through a metamorphosis to glow with an eternal gleam only for her, which is now the elixir to her very being.
@tibs, I read it thrice, which itself is a prove how superlative you have been with your concept & words. The flow was like a gentle river flowing with an eternal rythm, no threat of submerging...

I will write my take on your second chapter, might be tomorrow. Definitely won't bore you with my silly ramblings. So I promise that it will be short...

Chandrima I loved what you said how the inferno has an eternal gleam only for her..
Thank you for commenting. I know you had a very tiring day yesterday.
Will Wait for your comment on the 2nd part

Hi Thibs,
Sorry for commenting so late. Have become quite lazy in the recent times, and have been loafing around for some time.

The metaphorical comparison of MEhek with the rain was awesome. Shaurya is really a person scorched from his past experiences and needs to be healed, and MEhek's soothing presence seems to be doing just that.

"He had like a fool let her go, when she was his, asking like a madman for the equilibrium of dry heat. .He had again not fought hard enough when she walked out on him just when the moisture had started seeping in. He had made his way again in that coolness and had, horrified seen it almost being snatched away forever from him.
He had made a pact then, to barter anything, to have an exclusive right on that reservoir of love. Nothing less would be enough to quench his thirst ."

And that truly sums up the whole of it... ⭐️ 👏

@tibs, I read chapter 2 the moment you had posted it. Another example of your talent 👏. I must applaud again for making the chapters self contained. You can add to them in future, or leave them as they are. I liked that idea.

Fire and Rain are complimentary. While Rain helps in creating new life, Fire has the power to destroy the same. Fire can protect, while Rain can submerge. Rain has the power to control a raging Fire. If my memory has not totally greyed out, what I read is that the fiery earth got cooler due to incessant rain for ages.

Even though it might be self-destructive at the end, but seems that this insanely raging Fire will always be running towards the Rain unabashedly, without any inhibitions, in order to cool down. I can only pray that the Fire does not diminish to meet and mate with the Rain, even it is destruction only, in the process.

Again not a small one. But as it might be one of the last ones before I probably take a week's break, I couldn't help it.
