I think she looks beautiful, and according to her character she is suppose to be simple and plain.
I would want a glamorous Mahek after Marriage in expensive sari etc but as for now she is fine they way she is.

We don't want her to be glamorous.but atleast make up should be such that suits her.not always pink pastel.in all episodes totally pink. No offence my pov.

I agree in today's episode they literally dipped her in pink, and the makeup was caked, nehal had better dress and makeup today, Mahek could have borrowed some pretty dress from her sister.

What do you mean by behenji and why is behen ji or behenji look taken to be so offensive?

We take offence when guys pass on comments like behenji on us girls.. When they use it , they use it in the sense meaning the girl isn't attractive enough for them to even pass a look at her or someone they wouldn't like to touch or chedofy or some one who is ugly according to them...someone who isn't "sexy" enough for them.. basically as someone mentioned Plain Jane...

Now what about people like you who being a girl herself passes such comments on other girls? Choose your words sensitively and cautiously.

You have issues with her make up and stylist go ahead.. mention about it.. But choose your words very wisely mam.. It would do you good and also your own being.

I have always found Mehak's make up cakey and styling shoddy, but guess it goes with her character's background ...Anyway, they can tone it down IMO.

I think people have a problem with all body types and styles. If a girl is simple and plump then she is a behnji, if she is slender then she is a bag of bones, if she is tall with broad shoulders then she is manly and I need not elaborate about how color conscious Indians are. I was listening to this song on my car radio, "I am all about that bass" , and thought how confusing it is to young girls like my 11yr old. Why should a girl put so much emphasis on what size booty she has rather than on how healthy and happy she is?!

it's not about her body or posture .the word is behenji looks.if u read it is more about her pink make-up and the way cvs overdid her make-up.
y bring personal issues in a fictional serial.ur 11yearvold is precious gem don't bring her into it .Firstly y always behenji has to be body figure posture.it can be thoughts looks with overdone makeup and expressions .it can be the way we behave.if figure was everything all beautiful actress would have ruled.its the brains that matter.so kindly let ur 11 year old be an angel .
I also have a 14 year old at home.she is my gem like urs. Hope u understand what i mean.just say would u like any girl to be over dazzled with loud make up and make her sit with that .it's just a personal choice and perception and taste .take care

I don't think you understood what I am trying to say. It's not about criticism, but it is about name calling. You need not be rude to the person in question when you just have a suggestion regarding makeup or dress. If you still didn't realize that you were disrespectful to the person, then I have nothing much to say.
