Her hosts were obviously taking very good care of her; so much so that in the first two days, Shaurya barely heard a peep from his MS. That there was a steady stream of photos and videos being posted to her facebook page, tagging him in practically all of them, let him know that at least he hadn't been forsaken, but he had to admit that despite the novelty of experiencing the Big Apple through the eyes of an impressionable first-time visitor, their lack of direct communications had been a bit disheartening. The time difference between them had been the greatest obstacle, lending him only the option of responding to her posts when he was able, and looking forward to hours later when he could access any response she would send. It seemed they were destined to pass by like two ships in the night: neither online when the other was.

Like now, he thought, as he pulled up one of the latest images she had posted. She was as much of a foodie as he, Shaurya thought as he clicked like on the picture of the stylized plate, her incredible dinner she had said, that obviously met her approval. Setting his phone down, he picked up the cup of coffee the servant had just poured, savoring the exquisiteness of the flavored brew.

...We need to make a decision, now that we are down to our last 24 hours, don't you agree? The thing is I'm not really into quickies, so mornings are really a no go on my end, but then again you may not feel the same. Personally I would prefer the luxury of an all-night session before that. Your thoughts KK?

Shaurya had perked up when his phone pinged an incoming message and then almost spit his coffee out when he read it. She wasn't into quickies, preferring all nigh... Good lord, did she even realize the connotations of what she had typed?

...Has New York changed you that much MS?

Sitting cross-legged on her bed, already in her night clothes, Mehek frowned in her confusion after reading his message. What was he on about?

...It's just with the time difference Rachna suggested that it may be best for us to agree on a chat time that will work for both of us. I'm not certain what that has to with my time here in New York, but my personal preference would to talk at the end of the day, which would be mornings for you...I wouldn't feel as rushed I think, but that may not work for you.

Their chats: of course, Shaurya thought, disbelieving that his mind could sink into the gutter just like that. She was certainly wasn't that type of girl, and Shaurya chided himself for allowing his thoughts to stray in that direction. Perhaps a different type of female might have no reservations in sending such a suggestive message to a man, but definitely not his MS. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw his Bhabhi entering, and scoffed. Speak of the devil and she shall appear' he thought, of the woman of debauched character. He ignored Shruti as she took a seat opposite his at the dining room table; retuning back to his mobile, when it sounded again.

...Maybe I'm asking for too much?

Shaurya smiled and began typing.

...Never think so. We will definitely sort things out before you head down to Fl. Like you said the time difference has been a challenge. And...I have a bit of a confession...

...Bolo KK...don't keep me in suspense.

...Well as much as I can tell your companions are showing you the best of the city, I admit to being the slightest bit envious of the time they get to spend with you, while I am relegated to observing from afar.

...Aacha, and here I thought I was doing a good job of sharing it with you. In fact I hoped you would have guessed that the reason that I was posting so much was because I wanted you to feel as if you were experiencing it all with me; especially since we haven't been able to connect before now.

Mehek bit her lip, wondering if between the convoluted text she had sent, that KK would understand that despite the terrific time she had had these past two days, that, in fact she had missed him and their chats too.

Had she been able to see his expression, she would have no qualms in that regard. Certainly none of his breakfast companions doubted his rapt attention to the person he was communicating with.

...Anyway, you needn't feel left out; two days from now it will just be the two of us...once we sort out the time we should chat that is...

...Absolutely, I can't think of anything more pressing right now MS.

Across from him Shruti stared intently at her obsession. She wasn't liking one bit what she was seeing. He was completely enthralled by his messaging session. And to make matters worse, she was damn sure it wasn't business related. "Wheeling and Dealing so early in the morning, Shaurya," she asked snidely.

Shaurya raised his head, and stared the faithless woman directly in the face. "Oh, you would never understand how important these particular negotiations are, Bhabhi dear," Shaurya taunted back.
