Arrogant! Obnoxious! Sadistic! These are words to best describe how cruel and hateful Shaurya is.The beast has his day! The torment and begging by Kanta gave some solace and insane joy. The filth scraped and hauled at them somewhat pacifies him, was short-lived by the two sirens calling forth his demise, but his everlasting burning ember of dislike was sufficient to thrust their efforts away, although they haven't given up.

Mehek enters his lair with hope to save her khandan from his evil ministrations. She sparkles through the fire crackers giving a presence illusion or hallucinations. The beast was briefly unstabalised, but this brave beauty sought freedom, for her people , camouflaged herself in the darkness. Could she just be 'biting ,more than she can chew' ? Humiliation awaits, ,anxiety is brewing... the beast is baring his teeth...there will be tears to shed, hope dwindling...how much sacrifice will Mehek make to win this war? Or is ilove sufficient to make him whole again?

Great episode! Blackmail is inevitable!

My question is...after all this how on earth do we expect Mehak to fall in love with this beast?

His ghatiappan seems to be increasing day by day

As far as this pained character can take him. I am enjoying his enjoyment of cruelty because in remorse and regret we will see the softer side... be entertained my dear in real life this exists so it isn't far fetched as you may think.

I don't see him as a beast at all. Either i'm getting blindsighted by Karan's disarming smile or my tolerance level to watching other ppl in pain has gone up.😆

Shaurie just needs some satwik food to develop some empathy,which he lacks ATM as he is forced to play offensive all the time with all those beasts around him. He is rotting in his private hell and wants to pull everyone in there, especially the one he wants to keep close to him.
i think, for a while they'll be in hell, before they can create their own heaven.

My comparison to a beast is to describe his behaviour not the "hawwt and dashing" looks. The smiles he had with his mother could melt anyone. This is why I cannot see him as a villain. The man is charismatic and manipulative no wonder he is arrogant because he gets what he wants either by looks or by cash or by authority. I am all for the mischievous ,playful,wicked...and this list goes on and on 😛😛😛

Good morning...Perf...! A well written and well analyzed post...! The best way to describe MehRya..!😉

If you've gone thro' some of my past comments, you must have realized by now..."MehRya" is the modern version of "Beauty and the Beast" for me...! One of my favorite fairytales...!

The Beast made a deal with Beauty's father...! In exchange of his life...he should give him one of his daughters...! Here Shaurya will make a deal with Mehek...in exchange of her family freedom, she should dance with him...!

But, as of now, for me personally...Shaurya is more like Hitler, the Dictator...! Like Shaurya...Hitler was born in a poor family...he was always at loggerheads with his father and closer to her mother...! Hitler was a self-made military leader dictator...! His hatred for the Jewish population (called them intoxicating and unclean substances) was so great..it concluded into "The Holocaust" where several million of innocent people died...!

Like Hitler...Shaurya is a self-made business tycoon...! His hatred for the middle-class population (called them cheats, inferior, mediocre people with no class) is so deep...it ended up with Mehek's family being imprisoned and tortured...!

To conclude...I want Shaurya to return to his old self, the Beast..! We do know, like the Beast...Shaurya heart will also melt before Mehek's beauty and kindness...! He will become so restless without Mehek...just like the Beast, who nearly died of heartbreak when Beauty left him for few days to visit her family...! 😃

Awesome post Perf!! Agreed, he is a beast but therein lies the story of MahRya!!
He is going to stoop to really low levels when exacting his so called revenge on middle class.
That being said, he is also going to need Mahek in his life. He already does. Always harassing her. Keeps her close to him.
Look at this dance challenge. What is Shaurya going to get out of it? He gets to be physically close to Mahek. Plus of course he going to intimidate her with his physical proximity!!
I am looking forward to the dance. It's going to be hot!!!

That right there reminded me so strongly of Hades.

But yes, I agree with you. He does derive a sick pleasure from pulling people down, shattering their hopes and dreams and adding a little bit of negativity and darkness to their lives - making them feel a little of what he feels all the time. Helpless, trapped and jaded.

@TM - It was indeed a good episode. My favourite part was the firecrackers bit too. His sudden disorientation in his own home, feeling puzzled and adrift was a pleasure to watch. That's how deeply she affects him, that just an glimpse of her (imagined or otherwise) for a second, leaves his disturbed for many moments after.
