I would have still accepted it if they had to continue airing foreign shows on their online channel but their reasoning is utter rubbish. Indian shows are the worst of all (being an Indian I feel bad to admit it but it's true). They won't be airing anymore foreign shows to promote crappy shows. Can't take this.

Why did they then start airing these shows? Their patriotism speech is getting on my nerves. They can copy foreign shows and remake them but airing the original ones makes them realize they need to be patriotic. Every second movie is a copy of foreign movies. Same goes for the TV shows as well. 🤪

This is the link of the petition started by some loyal fans. Even though the channel has every right to make a final decision for itself, but can we, as their loyal fanbase, just ask them to reconsider their decision one more time?
Let us all sign and support this petition.

Oh God! Now this is pure annoying.
You have a million other channels to show those idiotic TV shows, but we cant have one channel that shows us content that we enjoy watching. That one channel has caused job cuts, so maybe you should try creating jobs on other channels 😡

If they weren't getting TRPs, It was still okay to accept the Channel's shut down, but this is just insane. Now I'm officially pissed!!😡

Also Just because you stop showing these shows, in no way means that we'll stop watching them. This seems like a way to make us watch those crap shows all over again that we've been trying so hard to avoid. Please stop shoving them down our throats. Its a sincere request.

Absolutely Sehar...so many other channels are there...bas ek Zindagi un sabki aankhon mein khatakti hain...what nonsense 😡 Like Gayu said, these vested interests cannot bear to see the popularity of genuine international talent. Fawad ke saath bhi toh wahi hua tha na. 😔

An iota of truth lies in the fact that cult hits like Fatmagul, AIM are being made/ aired by other channels here.

They could be under scrutiny & threat if original are being aired simultaneously on Zindagi.

The issue of low TRPs, lack of sponsorship have to be hard sell too considering the business plan was meant for niche audience.

So its combination of many factors for this pull out.

With our country's GDP at 127th position, VoD market seems far fetched.!!

@Bold Yeah that maybe the case Vids 🤔 But still, giving in to other channels' pressure is a bit too much...And Subhash Chandra is not someone who will bow down to pressure 😕

Neyse, we are thankful to Zindagi for introducing us to FK, Engin, Bugzee and Kivanc 😳

This is so disappointing... I have nothing left on tv to watch, they are literally driving people towards Netflix or amazon videos. Instead of improving the content on tv they are stopping all the good content that is available in form of foreign shows. So much so for global market and global business...

@Deepika- Thanx for the link hun. Have signed it and also mailed it to my friends.
__________

These days, I don't understand why, every discussion ends with a question mark on our Patriotism. Every second idiot seems to have somehow acquired this habit of questioning our Indian-ness, as if its their birth right to do so.

TBH I don't understand how liking or appreciating International or Global dramas makes me any less patriotic than my fellows. It simply means I have the mental maturity to distinguish between patriotism and jingoism. Our nation is far more superior and great than these people make out to be.

NOTE- Its a Personal View of Mine. If you don't like it, move on from the post instead of starting a verbal debate on a person's POV

So the Naagin-Makkhi-Chudail Mafia manages to pull down the ONE good thing to happen to Indian TV in years!
This patriotism reason is all an excuse. It's quite obvious that Zee wants its Ozee to compete with Hotstar and ALTBalaji. No one is going to sit through laggy Ozee for stuff like Kumkum Bhagya, so they arm-twist viewers of Zindagi to move there.

Well, for all you know, this move might backfire badly on Zee. I would prefer to download the original shows with English subs than watch their dubbed versions on Ozee. In any case, I am NOT going back to Indian shows after having watched good quality content these last 3 years.

Have signed the petition and will pester Zee on whatever platform I can. But as far as I am concerned, it's bye-bye to Indian channels for me if Zindagi shuts down.
