Coming to Hacer/Aasu, it s a big irony indeed that though the show s supposed to show women empowerment/upliftment, they r showing the opposite where Aasu s concerned. In the first few epis, if u all remember, she s shown as this streetsmart, strong , discerning & outspoken woman & now she s shown as this dumb, crying, suckerforabusive treatment woman. As @Aashi s said , i too dont feel sorry for her either bcos it s all been her choice returning back to that lowlife creep despite knowing exactly what he is, & am unable to accept that her excessive love for the creep is given as the excuse for her decisions 😕
@Hacer: She gets no sympathy from me either. All she has to do to make her life better is walk to the nearest police station & tell them everything about Mustafa. God knows what makes her stick with him even when she knows he wont think twice before killing her & her kid. She of all people knows that that man is just a wussy & wont be able to do anything if the police arrest him. She has enough money of her own, she is out of the prostitution muck, she can even leave the country. What exactly is stopping her?
In a supposedly women oriented show the role given to women with regards to this case is v limited. Leaving everything else aside if we concentrate only on FG's case the women who helped her & empathized with her are much less in number than those who stood against her. I would have loved to see at least a few women (and I am counting people in her circle who KNOW the truth, not the general public) stand up against the Yasrans based on principle alone:
With her: Meryem, Deniz, Nil, Meltem
Against her: MQ, Hacer, Halide, Hilmiye, Leman, Yadigar, and a few more yet to come.
Is it any wonder they say women's worst enemies are women themselves.
