Those flashback scenes, I was watching them for the first time as I haven't followed the show from the start. I felt so bad to see FGs condition after the immediate rape track. My God! my heart went out for the girl.
😊 I am glad too. But appreciating them for telecasting this show doesn't mean that we cannot point out any glaring mistakes being made, specially if they have been happening on a repeated basisLike all of us are expected to do our jobs professionally at our work places and our judged / held accountable for the same, so should a broadcaster be and rightly so. They have an obligation to the makers of the show as well as to the audiences to remain true to the original and not let its essence be diluted or hurt in any way. These are the global norms / expectations from all broadcasters worldwide. As I said, being grateful doesnt mean turning a blind eye if shoddy quality gets delivered on a consistent basis. Anyways, was just pointing it out, not planning to ask everyone to go on a morcha about it 😆.Thought of sharing the above translation gaps and clarify what was actually said as I understand how much these things can matter to / bother invested viewersCheers

On other note, The synopsis of the real Fatmagul novel shared by some member on the previous thread was heck dark and regressive.
I'm so glad that the makers decided to change it and improvise it cuz dunno about others, But I would've hated Kerim so as to the point of breaking his face and couldn't stand Fatma too cuz why the hell did she had to win the love and trust of the man who litreally made her life hell.

Do try and catch those initial episodes dear. They are a must watch. The way they show Fatmagul's condition on the morning after the rape and in the hospital is so heartwrenching and horrifying that it literally makes you cry. You feel like taking the poor girl in your arms and protecting/shielding her from the cruel, nasty, heartless bunch of people around her, esp that witch Muquaddas who even in this condition keeps throwing vile, despicable words at her instead of showing her some compassion. You can't help but wonder what kind of a woman wld do this to another woman who is going thru such unspeakable pain and horror. The rape scene itself was so gruesome and horrifying. Its said that it was the most talked about scene of the series for a long time due to its chilling depiction of the horror of rape and also that this episode broke all rating records in TurkeyApparently, Beren received psychological support before filming this scene as it can be very tough for a woman to enact such a scene and live thru all the emotions it evokes. To her credit, she has been absolutely phenomenal in depicting the trauma of a rape victim during and after the incident. She makes it all look so real that u feel like u are witnessing a true story unfold right before yr eyes. No wonder she's got such tremendous critical acclaim around the world for her portrayal of Fatmagul, and deservedly so.Initial episodes are also very important from the perspective of understanding how a wonderful human being and a gem of a person like Kerim ends up being on the wrong side during this incident. Of course what he goes thru cannot be compared to what Fatmagul goes thru as the victim of a crime as heinous as a gangrape... infact it wld be a travesty to even attempt such a comparison. But his guilt, his self revulsion, his shame at being just a mute spectator when this crime, this atrocity was being comitted, his confusion abt whether he too had harmed her or not, his dilemma at what he should do in its aftermath etc are all imp to watch to be able to be able understand where this character is coming from and the motivations for his various actions. Plus, of course you wldnt want to miss Engin's absolutely masterful, amazeballs performance while depicting all these myriad, challenging emotions that Kerim goes thru :))
