Not one female character works. I am not sure why..

I've not seen a lot of pak dramas but some of the ones that I have seen have working women šŸ˜†
sanam jung's character in dil e muztar works and so does sanam saeed's characters in mera naseeb and mata e jaan.

And how can we forget Kashaf who remains a career woman till d end of the drama. Actually in both dil e muztar and mera naseeb, both Sanams' work due to their situation in life, but it's in ZGH that they show the female lead as a career woman out of choice later on, and not due to the situation.

yes, how can I forget kashaf 😳
sanam's character in mata e jaan was great tho. she didn't work due to her situation either. in fact her parents were rich in the drama so she worked out of choice. and she was earning more money than her husband.
then her husband used and abused her so she kicked him out, made sure she took all his money, and got him sent to jail šŸ˜Ž šŸ˜†

I should have rephrased my statement. In Pakistani dramas, most of the women born to rich families or women married to someone from a rich family don't work, but people from relatively poorer families sometimes do.

Kashaf from ZGH came from a lower middle class family, so she had to work to secure her financial future. But, neither Sara nor Asmara from ZGH work to best of my recollection.

Sara from Humsafar is never shown working, but is shown constantly plotting to get Asher back. šŸ˜†

Sara used to work along with Asher na? That's another thing that dey ended up showing her becoming obsessed with Asher and trying to get him back.

Yes Kashaf is shown having a career coz of financial difficulties, but at least even after she marries into a rich family they show her pursuing her career and continue doing so till the end. Otherwise in many dramas I have seen d females talking abt getting higher education and pursuing careers, but den just end up being shown getting married and no mention of education and career at all.

Also Aimen from MHMD is shown working at her father's well established business.

Like the crockery and interiors if showing rich family that i agree . Its long time haven't seen the houses of the middle class with courtyard , trees , plants , something very natural . I found it amusing when in the starting found Samosa, gulab Jamun , halwa puri . Never realized that its only 67-68 years . Naturally eatables will be same kind . 😊

@ Bold - yes dis is very much shown in Pak dramas. But it makes me wonder that do many middle class ppl stay in such houses? Coz though in bad conditions, but these houses r spacious with courtyards and all. Also it's mainly houses and not apartments that ppl live in whether rich or poor. So I wonder if dat's the way there or apartments are more common?

The clothes and the make up... I heart the salwars that they wear. Looks so comfy. I remember when i was in amritsar and shopping, the shopkeeper told me that the best clothing material comes from Pak and their quality is unprecedented😳! I wish i could go to pak and buy some!šŸ˜† I like how they don't pay much attention to looking technically good all the time. No makeup and pretty salwars!šŸ‘šŸ¼
And Chai ..ZGH has hooked me onto chai!šŸ˜³šŸ˜†

And oh yes, the houses are so beautiful with i think almost every household having a beautiful garden outside. The interiors are fab!

@ Bold - Now dat u mention, I remember when I was very small my mom used to say that her Mausi who used to stay in Karachi used to send materials from there and there was a craze for Pak materials. But later the whole family shifted to US and that was the end of that!

Last year I had gone to Dubai and dey have this area where there r lots of Indian and Pakistani stores and the Pak stores had beautiful dress material collections.😳
