After watching him completely blow away everyone at the IIFA Rocks night in Madrid, Spain, Fawad Khan has truly made himself a top contender at award ceremonies with his charm. The new entrant to Bollywood, who has taken over the industry like a rockstar, was the perfect mix of witty and spontaneous with no shortage of style. Truly one of the biggest opportunity to host a grand event, Khan took the stage for a mesmerising two hour show, that too with Indian cinema's revered director-producer, Karan Johar.

While it was such an uphill task to stand in front of 'KJO', who is considered the king amongst all hosts and anchors, our very own Khan killed it at the star studded event with his spontaneity as well. Unlike last year's Lux Style Awards, where we saw Fawad and Mahira Khan faltering and messing up the show (literally), this time around the Khoobsuratactor left us in a complete surprise.

1. His entry

Fawad Khan was given a warm welcome with none other than everyone's favourite 'Koffee' show host and Bollywood's top notch director-producer, Karan Johar. While the hall echoed with the hit song Abhi Tou Party Shuru Hui Hai from Khan's debut Bollywood flickKhoobsurat, he made his entry on the stage while sitting at the backseat of a blue Suzuki S-Cross car. He got out of the car amidst a huge round of applause. Of course, girls were blushing and smiling as if there is no tomorrow!

2. Those first words out of his mouth

It seems that after his last Bollywood release Kapoor & Sons, Khan's body language has changed, not just as an actor but as a person too. His incomparable confidence and spontaneity have been like news for all of us who have always found him as a rather shy and introverted person. From his first line as a host till the show's wrap up moment, Khan enthralled the audience and his fans.

3. His candid moments with Bollywood beauties

And, this was the time which we all were waiting for! In a segment when Fawad Khan has to impress the Bollywood divas on Karan Johar's demand, our hearts skipped a beat. First up, it was Sonakshi Sinha who was invited on the stage. Even after the actress made it apparent that she is already impressed by Khan's charming looks and talent, Johar insisted Fawad to do it for her anyways. Fawad sung Chaudvi Ka Chaand in the most romantic way, and all we can say is we swooned at every lyric. Of course, Sinha was also blown away by Fawad's exotic style and charisma!

After Sonakshi it was the most desirable lady of Bollywood these days, Deepika Padukone. Kishore Kumar's Roop Tera Mastana has never sounded this romantic before, the way it did this time around when Khan sang for Padukone and swept her off her feet. The actress, who is ever-sporting, then knelt down in front of Khan and told karan Johar that 'this guy belongs to me for few minutes'!

4. When he sang Kal Ho Na Ho

Surprisingly, Fawad Khan also sang on stage! Completely spellbound when we heard him singing Kal Ho Na Ho from one of SRK starrer blockbusters, we couldn't help but get jealous of the crowd present at the ceremony. Although, Khan's vocals were a little off-key but sometimes his presence was enough to get us excited about!

5. When Karan Johar hugged Fawad Khan

As mentioned before in a number of Koffee with Karan episodes, Kal Ho Na Ho is one of Johar's favourite songs, being close to his heart. When Khan sang it with confidence and enthusiasm, Karan Johar gave him a long, warm hug. It was actually quite an emotional moment when the two luminaries shared a heart touching moment.

Fawad, who'll next be seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, was reported to play Rani Padmavati's husband, King Rattansen of Chittor. But when we put our sources to work, we learnt that there's no truth to this buzz. "Fawad has not been cast for the role. He wasn't even approached for it. As of now, he is working on Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, where his role has been extended. After that, he is in talks for two Dharma films " one with Katrina Kaif and another, a royal love story. He also has in hand a high-end Pakistani soap opera, on the lines of a Netflix series," says a source.

There were also reports of Fawad being a part of the Salman Khan-starrer Jugal Bandi, but no official confirmation has come on either Salman's or Fawad's part for this.

The Khoobsurat star has a chock-a-block schedule. He juggles professional commitments with philanthropic, work which makes him constantly travel between India, New York, London and Pakistan. We hear, he, being diabetic, has to be extra careful about his health, and hence can only work on two-three projects at a time. Therefore, there is no question of him taking up Padmavati when his hands are already full.
