The papa- beti scenes were so adorable.Asher's best role was that of a father to Hareem. The way he says 'papa ki jaan' is so damn cute.😛
The best of phase of HS.👍🏼

I always felt the "meri beti" from Khirad's side was a deliberate taunt somewhere to make Asher realize that he had abandoned Khirad and Hareem.. it should've gotten him thinking.
Also, Khirad doesn't pronounce Asher's name with respect anymore, nor does she call him aap. A huge transition for someone who once said "aap mere sab kuch hain Asher"..

One more scene that stayed with me was the closing of today's episode. The moment Khirad sees Hareem collapsing, she is like, "Ashar!"

Just the way Ashar has forgotten everything for the sake of Hareem, so has Khirad. The woman inside her, who was wronged and failed, has been overshadowed by the mother who desperately wants her daughter's health to be restored. Khirad would have never in her life called out for support to Ashar, but the mother in her knows that Hareem can be saved only with the aid of Ashar. She realized that the love and support of Ashar is integral for Hareem. And if her daughter's health is at stake, she is ready to let all her pains be bygones. That call out of "Ashar" touched me.

And I don't know, something inside me shivers a little whenever Ashar and Khirad have the tiniest of interaction. A little eye contact, the insignifaicnt hello on the phone, the way they address each other as 'Papa' and 'Mumma'. And when Khirad took his name, it may sound stupid, but it felt as if one of the pieces of the messed up puzzle was back in place.

So true...u have given perfect words to what I felt.👏
Her shout out to Asher was something.

Yep, I noticed that too. When she is talking to Batool Khala, she is like "Ashar Hareem se bohot pyaar karta hai' This happened first when Ashar had hung up on her the first time I think, sometime in that phase.
I guess all the respect she had for Asahr got lost as the love got lost, respect being synonymous to love.

Infact she does not address him or call him... That is her way of showing that she has moved on and does not need a husband.. quite evident when Asher calls up at Afsheen's house... He asks the phone to be given to Hareem and Khirad announces to Hareem that she has got a call without mentining who it was

The way Khirad looks at Hareem while she is talking to Ashar both the times on the phone is heartwarming as well. I link it with what she said to Batool Khala, that inspite of her wanting to do so, she was not able to provide Hareem as well as Ashar was doing. And apart from that, both the parents are integral in a child's life. Even though not at fault, Khirad would have felt guilty for keeping Hareem deprived of her father's love.
And now that Hareem is being treated like a queen by Ashar, with the world at her feet, Khirad is pleased. Her only concern is Hareem presently, and she is smiling, and that's all that matters to her. The way she looks upon her talking to her father maze me is really touching. She has put aside the grudges she holds against Ashar as a wife, and welcomed him as the incomplete link in her daughter's life, as a selfless mother.

I think Khirad's at a battle with herself where she's questioning whether or not it was right of her to deprive Hareem of Asher's love for her own suffering. Because she had the chance but she didn't take it. Batool Khala even advised her to go to Karachi after Hareem's birth and speak with Asher, and I believe had she gone, Asher would've immediately accepted them and their mess could've been sorted. She also holds herself responsible for Hareem's condition somewhere, for stressing too much, not eating properly, not taking appropriate medication.. I think that guilt and regret lives in her.

Agreed, though I completely back her on not going back to Karanchi. After the way Ashar behaved, he did not deserve Khirad and Hareem in his life.

But now that tables have turned and Khirad does need Ashar, she reflects on that decision of years back, the defining point of her life, and the mother in her makes her question it. The moment she entered the house today, I could see the battle playing on her face. Ghosts of the past battling with the obligations of the present. And to add to it, her daughter is getting all that which she is entitled to, which Khirad could never give her, and which she herself never got.

She may never accept back Ashar, but for the sake of Hareem's health and happiness, she will selflessly plaster a smile on her face, somehow sew together her broken dignity, face the man who wronged her, only to see her daughter leading a better life.
