Its interesting to see how different people see the same thing and come out with different feelings.

I for one, just loved it. There were some flaws in the screenplay, but the whole product finally, made up for it. Some things I liked:
I really loved the voice overs reading the thoughts aloud. I was happy that they did that so that there was no scope for ay ambiguity. I also think this comes from the fact that I like things really clear. Specially in a romance story which has Fawad.
I thought the miss-kiss was shot beautifully. It was there, leaving one wanting to see more, but gave the whole scene without showing details.
As much has Kiron Kher has been typecast in this kind of role, her moments brought the loudest laughs in the hall.
Ratna Pathak was superb as Ranisa.

And these are just a few among a long list of other stuff.

Some instances where good like that kiss was done nicely but again u don't get full impact of Milli and Vikram romance because they don't naturally ease into the romance. I think editing, direction and screenplay was very weak.
I agree the last part scene where Vikram asks Manju permission to marry Milli was probably the best part of the film.

But the first half is so bad that I remember the people who where sitting next to me a group of young boys and girls where like oh God what have we got into and saying isse acha toh Dawaat E IShq Hota or Maze runner hota and they where cursing girls for forcing them to watch the film. I suspect fawad was the reason for that most girls came to watch for him.
The movie picks up only in the second half but the truth is some people might get so put off by the first half that they might just decide to leave the movie hall and not come back for teh second half. Even I felt worn but by the first half. But the end did leave a decent impact. So overall movie could have been much better had the direction been top notch. Characters are not developed fully and even with good actors movie does not live up. Just my POV again.

Isn't it amazing how we saw the same thing and came out with totally opposite thoughts?😊
I thought the 1st half was really good, and screenplay faltered in the 2nd half. I was wishing it was more tightly held in the 2nd, but of course, the last scene made up for it fully and made it a perfect 10 for me.
The hall was full. College girls and guys. In fact, there was one group were sitting in front of us, and had watched DEI just before KS. They were saying it was a double dhamaka because they loved both!😆
BTW, am going to watch DEI shortly. :) And KS again tomorrow.

I was waiting this weekend only to watch Khoobsurat though the movie review according to me is not great bust still I would say it is much better than some of the big budget films. It is not bad ofcourse but not great either. I love Fawad the actor and I wish to see him do many more Bollywood movies.

Pratim D. Gupta who went ahead and questioned women taste in men seeing frenzy for Fawad on twitter giving a decent review and admitting the whole film was worth watching for Fawad and complete special mention for him just made me realise theat when you know your job and do it properly, even your not so big admireres will agree to oblige.

It just feels great that all appreciation pouring in for Fawad for a role which was not so great, tagged as flowerpot and even I fanatically kept asking why Fk why? It just that we really did not get to see what was his reason andas he is now walking away with all the praises, I will say Wow Fk wow.

Feels happy like an idiot for a stranger actor who dont even know I exist. Its like my achievement, may be thats because hs somehow makes my life little bit more happy with all real issues by his job. Thanks for that.

He gave Khoobsurat a review of 2.5. DEI slightly better a review of 3 I think.
I really don't know about reviewers so cant judge who is biased or not.

Guys if I read correctky, then there is again indian vs pakistan attitude towards their celeb discussion.

A sincere request, we all have really been gracious, tolerant, restrained to keep this thread controversy specially from few obvious discussions as we dearly appreciate the actor from neighbouring country. So almost at the end of this journey, can we just keep the discussions about Fk , his journey here and his belongings there back home. Want to discuss attitude of two neighbouring countries and perception of peopke, plse do open a new thread and continue folks. Let this thread be controversy free and more Fawad centric as its his appreciation thread.

No offence intended, but a genuine request. Plse.

Acc to koimoi.com, the film collected 3 cr first day in contrast to 4.5 crs for DEI.

I dnt think ots a good number. But unfortunately its beyond our control.
