I have to say that I started HS with a skewed, biaised mind, and a ZGH hangover and expecting absolutely nothing but an over dramatic saas bahu saazish saga!

and boy it worked so well for me, HS is wonderfully directed love saga!👏 the beauty lies in the direction, the camera work, the editing, fawad-mahira-naveen's performances!👏👏👏

I read so much about it being overrated, ordinary show...mahira being a bad actress etc etc...but she surprised me the most! both the character and the actress...khirad's evolution in the show is wow! she

the two woman who are really worth every bit of analysis in HS - masoom Khirad and marhoom sara! both the characters have been developed very very very well...and all through the show, my sympathies were in full flow out for both

Mahira as Khirad looked the part of innocent and simple next door girl , so is the other girl sara . you really feel sympathy for her but somewhere i think Asher should have kept his distance from her so that she could get the message loud and clear . But on the other side Asher has many times frankly told her about his feelings . She was living in a fool,s paradise shown by her aunt that Asher will be hers . She intentionally ignored the truth before her eyes . Sometimes when you look at her eyes ,it seemed as if getting mentally disturbed . Felt sympathy for her also specially inthe last scenes when aunt comes and tells her to marry khizar ,her dream world crumbles knowing she was used as puppet and the last scene with Asher where he asks her forgiveness and ask her to marry ad settle . All her dreams shattered , she somewhere has lost her balance . Asher was shown to be polite, well mannered , soft spoken peson who valued relationship . I found Asher to be victim also , how could he not believe his mother what he watched and heard himself . Still he came back to hear the truth from Khirad himself . And as for his mother ,s hatred , main reason as far i concluded because of her husband,s words when he warned her that he can divorce her if she objected . Mahira was not at par with FK where acting is concerned but she evolved later on after getting separated from Asher .

sarmad's direction - take a bow! most of the shots are brilliantly directed - one particular episode that stays sketched is episode 22 - where asher's breakdown is plain wow! and the editing is crisp and perfect...

No doubt i found from 15th afterwards were the best episodes , Khirad,s tormentationand same was going with Asher . Last two totally belonged to FK where he did brilliant job . No going hoarse with his dialogues . Subtle and emotionally charged scenes .
