I finished watching Zindagi Gulzar Hai yesterday and started feeling so sad because it ended.
I was really enjoying watching Kashaf. I found us to be so similar and became attached to her almost instantly. Especially her attitude prior to her marriage with Zaroon. She used rudeness around Zaroon and Osama as a guard to avoid being hurt by men the way her father hurt her. I admire her for turning her entire focus on her education because she knew how important it was for her to be able to get out of her situation at home. Also, when she overheard Zaroon admit to his friends that he intends on flirting with her and then dumping her, she went straight to him to confront him in the library proving her inner strength. Not many girls would be able to do that.Every character in ZGH has played an essential role. I found Kashaf's relationship with her father very natural after years of rejection and feeling unwanted. It's only after her marriage with Zaroon do we realise how deeply her father's neglect affected her.A lot of YT commenters were annoyed by her inability to open up to her husband. But it was natural since she had never seen a happy marriage through her parents. And she feared that sharing emotions would make her vulnerable. She was protecting herself as she knew her own parents were happy at first yet the marriage broke down eventually. She thought that by guarding her emotions, she wouldn't be hurt should things end badly. Gradually she realised that she had fallen so deeply in love with Zaroon that she couldn't imagine a life without him. Even when she thought he was cheating on her.I suppose this is why I loved Zindagi Gulzar Hai. I normally hate stories where guy-girl hate each other, guy-girl fall in love. ZGH showed a very natural progression of change in just 26 episodes. Although the ending left a few questions unanswered, it taught us a lot about relationships. No one is perfect, yet if one chooses, they can make things work through patience and compromise.
SP gr8 to see u finally here🤗 And I loved how consistent the characters remained, but at the same time there was a growth in each character, coz exactly how we r in real life too.
BTW r u reading the novel? I hv come to the portion where Kashaf has turned down Zaroon's proposal. BTW though in d novel too dey show Kashaf coming from a poor family, but it's shown quite differently and I like the background dey hv shown in d serial.
