Oh yes! I had a fondness towards their relationship too. They instantly had a connection, not all saali-jeeja can have that sort of warmth,u know.
the initial phone conversations were very crucial for Kashaf-Zaroon's relationship to evolve. These scenes were very well written.

And the reason for his flexibility could be his own insecurity about his unsuccessful marital life because of his impatient and rigid views, which his parents, Sara, Osama and Asmara made him realize over the time.
So to overcome this insecurity without being a dominating and intruding husband (which he became in between but quickly realized it's repercussion on their relationship), only way to access Kashaf's inner self and her problems was Sidra (and this was a well-tested approach).

i agree on the part that Zaroon was flexible in his approach, infact in many occassions he just allowed kashaf to have the space she wanted and not involve him in matters she did not want to.
As u said it was probably becos of the insecurity his relatives had developed into his mind about how he could prove to be a bad husband. Moreover i feel he also had this pride that kashaf was his wife, he wanted everyone to believe in that his decision was right and kashaf was the right girl for him.
Sidra helped kashaf to know zaroon a lot too, not only sidra but Rafiya also. ohh i loved Rfaiya and zaroon scenes too..😆
