I would like to start this topic with this post here.

Episode 26 of #ziddidilmaanena perfectly set Karan and Sid up as foils to one another. Each of their reactions to leaving the academy threw the other's into high relief. Karan trusted the army and its process so implicitly that he even encouraged Sanju to help Rawat in his own investigation, not once doubting that there may be ulterior motives at play. Meanwhile, Sid got so carried away with the rejection he faced from Mrs. Batra and Sanjana that he doubted the one person who knows him inside out and takes his feelings seriously. Similarly, Karan has an absolute sense of belonging in the army vs. Sid's complete lack of belonging anywhere; the flipside of this is Karan's identification with and absolute loyalty to an abstract institution vs. Sid's ability to see people for who they are rather than what they are (army or civilian). It's setting up a journey where they'll meet in the middle: Karan learns to see himself as an individual outside the army and Sid learns to be part of something bigger than himself.

Unpopular post 😁 but going to make it anyway.

If the role was switched. Rawat did what Karan did and Karan was investigating the case.

You would call the investigation fair.

You would say that cadet telling the truth, even though they fear the agent a little, is brave.

You would also say, that Koel (forget her real intentions for a minute) leaking the video to show injustice being done, is the right thing to do. Because that is how in todays world injustice are being shown, by video being leaked.

My point is, Karan did use his power against a civilian, who wasn't a criminal or a spy for his own personal "revenge" ego, zidd or whatever you will call it.

Karan did torture Sid for 3 days. Even though a doctor and an agent advice him to let Sid go (because he was not doing well)

Karan continued, without having anyone checking up on Sid. That is being irresponsible and abuse of power/authority.

That is wrong!

The trouble Karan was in, was not because of Sid, but his own doing. That he is not facing consequences of his actions, is because of Sid.

So, Sid is not as selfish as people judge him to be. Because anyone else would a file a case against Karan....no matter what.

Sid is trying to make up for his mistakes, even though injustice was being done to him and he is in every right to ask for justice.

Now it Karan's turn to show that he is above his ego.

I hope that they will in the show make the message clear for the viewers, that Karan did cross the line and was in the wrong. Having an uniform doesn't give you the right to use your power against a civilian.

That message being send "CLEAR AND LAOUD" is important....I believe.

Even though I am a Karan/ Shaleen fanatic, I still agree with your point! No one was biased towards Karan though, everyone just felt bad for him because he was being reprimanded and inquiry and everything was just so emotional!!

Thank god they are done with it now!

Everyone here agrees that Karan has done wrong and what he's done is defo inhumane

No sweet-talking his actions coz well they're not something justified

Karan definitely is a very prejudiced person

Hopefully, he gets some sort of punishment or something that makes him realize that the world is beyond his perceived notions of the world

Just because he thinks something is right doesn't always mean its right

I usually do not talk about Koel because well I didnt want to say anything coz I dont agree with the sentences much

But what I dislike about her is that she's being hypocritical to a bad extent

That's the biggest flaw of Koel for now

And also this deal situation with Rawat...that's not how things are to be taken

She aint his khabri or something

Other than that I wholeheartedly agree with the video recoding being sent

Its something we have seen happening in our day to day life

Namaste,

Just some food for thought.

Consider a scenario:

Person "A" a is running operations of a hostel. A stranger (Person B) forcefully comes there claiming acquaintance.

The warden (Person C) allows him to stay. It is noticed that the visitor (Person B)has been found flirting/misbehaving with an inmate (Person D) inspite of her warning against it.

Person A punishes the visitor (Person B) with imprisonment with facilities wait till a final judgement is made by the warden (Person C).

Notwithstanding the warnings, Person B continues his antics for which (in the best interest of the hostel and in this case, victim Person D) he is asked to apologise for his actions and leave the premises with immediate effect else the punishment shall be severed until such time that the warden (Person C) takes a final decision.

In ALL fairness, the person abetting in this is also punished.

In the interim, there are multiple attempts made to make the the culprit (Person B) realise his mistake and take corrective actions which are not taken heeded to understanding completely what the consequences could be.

Please bear in mind and make no mistake, Person B is a culprit, his behaviour and actions with Person D were not acceptable.

So, the situation now is:

We have the culprit Person B reluctant to accept his mistake and leave the hostel and continues his actions.

We have the victim Person D who also needs justice and is being bothered by Person B.

As Person A, I own responsibility of maintaining the decorum of the hostel which is hindered by Person B on one hand and potential risk to the best interests of Person D.

What would we, in Person A's place have done?

I agree with you about Koel. She doesn't have empathy at all. I fully understand her situation, I have been there but still....You don't destroy other peoples life to make a better place for yourself or your child.

That she is so cold, make me sometime wonder if she actually killed her husband because being on the run, don't make you to a person with no empathy. Either you have empathy or you don't. Unless she also had a bad childhood and all that combined has made her the person she is.

Her character is very interesting but (sorry Simple fans) the actress for me is not convincing. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings, but I want her to show some vulnerability. Even with her son there is non.

Well keep him in jail for a day and then throw him out. Or keep him in jail till Senior arrives, but taking away food and water....big NO!

Sid was in jail, not bothering anyone anymore. Being in jail is punishment enough for anyone.

Beside, Sanju kept coming...right? and she did ask Karan to let him go....right?

It had more to do with Karan's own personal issue than anything else. You could also say, that Sid was being punish for Karan's whatever feelings he has for Monami.

If Monami had not been in the picture Sid wouldn't had the punishment he got.

Plus Sanju can handle Sid, and Karan said that himself.

Fact is, there is no way that torture can be justified. As they said in the show. punishing someone which is bigger than the mistake is wrong. Even criminal do not get the treatment Sid did.

Agree with you on karan being at fault too,, yes that was too much for any civilian to be punished for a crime where he is not harming sanju physically,, I’m not supporting sid’s actions at all,,

But comparing rawat’s investigation with karan’s investigation is not correct,, as there is big difference between these two character’s intentions,, if it would have been karan at rawar palce then he would have listened to good nd bad both sides of suspect not only the bad things nd he would have been fair trough all investigation but in the show it is very clear now that what rawat is doing is not just investigation rather he is trying every opportunity to destroy karan’s profession that too being friends with him that is called back stabbing at least so far in the show karan has been not shown as someone like this,, so his way of investigation would have been more fair than rawat,, and karan getting sympathy just bcoz of character’s honesty which rawat lacks,,, my POV

Now coming to koel part may be she is there to lesser the severity of karan’s punishment look at us we are more sympathises towards karan than sid yes sid was wrong they could have informed his father or could have called police if he was not ready to leave sanju alone but stopping someone from food nd water was not good even in jail bade se bade criminals ko bhi khana pani dete hai phir sid ko kyun mana kiya,, if sid was wrong then karan was also wrong,,, simple... two wrongs can not make one right
