Thank you so much, my dear.

You know Ela, I too have to thank you for coming here and being so active. You have no idea of the efforts I have been making to drag as many as possible of our young friends here, but with only limited success. They do not know what they are missing, but that is their loss!

About your comments in blue, I think this is the big, fat, red herring, I do not think it is Yudh, all these remarks and bits and pieces are specifically meant to make us think so.

They say that even under hypnosis, one cannot make a person do anything that he/she would not do when awake. Similarly, Huntington's syndrome or no, Yudh is a principled man and he will not forsake his principles just to get out of a tight corner. And it is not so tight at that, you know, an enquiry commission will take ages, and nothing much might come out of it either.

Now, I agree that it might be very interesting if it WAS Yudh, but there is another vital point. Amitabh Bachchan will not do such a negative role, for the man who sent the CD is also the man who committed or organised the murder. He would not risk his image; his fans are ferociously loyal and they will not tolerate any director making him out to be a really negative character. He had a very bad experience playing Gabbar Singh for Ram Gopal Varma, and even that really complex and troubled character in Nishabd did not at all go down well with his fans. There is a price to be paid for being a megastar.

But see how much fun we are having with this Did he or didn't he? stuff! That is the charm of this wonderful serial.

I see your problem with no repeats, for I have watched No. 4 3 times already, and now my mother wants to watch it once more after reading this post! 😉But can't you record it and rewatch it later? I am going to record it for retention; it should fit on 3/4 DVDs. If you have Tatasky +, \you can record all the episodes on the HD. Try it.

First of all I want to thank you for introducing me to this serial...Yudh is so gripping...

Shyamala I feel it is Yudh who had sent that CD to Anuj Malik...See when Yudh is talking with Nikhil , he mentions that he doesn't care about his having an affair with married woman, it means Yudh is issuing a threat as you too have mentioned...Again while talking to Anand Yudh says that he doesn't believe in luck , and again Yudh's reaction to the editor when he accuses Yudh ,was very aggresive...May be it was Yudh's guilt that made him react this way...

I liked Anand's scene with his wife...It was filled with sadness and bitterness...Anand is not a happy man either...

Loved Nikhil's acting ...He looked really in pain...

Frankly speaking I need to rewatch Yudh many times to understand it but no repeats of Yudh coming...

I've always felt that the pathetic quality in Indian TV soaps is because they are made with a purpose of providing livelihood to the caste till they are about to retire. There were much better shows, when there were weeklies with a defined timeline. After all, there's only so much story you can spin, daily doses only exhaust the limited resources that CVs have.

Sandhya my pet,

Poor Rajat is forgetting how to act with these abysmal tracks being foisted on him. What can he do, the unfortunate boy? But he was terrible in captivity, and not much better afterwards with his salaams to Jodha Begum. I am beginning to lose interest in Jodha Akbar, and if the Incredible Hulk turns up, it will put the lid on it as far as I am concerned.;

I want Rajat to play Chandragupta Maurya in a historical film by a solid director. He will then have another very strong character in Chanakya to match him and stimulate him. Right now, he has been hamming it up royally for the whole of the last week. Could he not have been a bit more dignified, in control even while in chains? I was appalled by the way he was carrying on, snarling and looking like something cooked up to scare kids.

Thank you, darling, and make sure you stay with me till Episode 20! Please do comments as well, I would love that.

I too am glad to be with you all again in the IF: I would never have stopped doing episode analyses in the Jodha Akbar forum if the management had been better. But we shall all have a lot of fun here, I am sure of that!

If Yudh was guilty he could have simply stolen the camera and proved himself innocent in the hospital affair. Why murder Mamata and frame Anuj by sending him the CDs?
Or may me Mamta saw him steal the camera to which he threatened her and then came to return the camera at her bidding, lost control and shot her. Anuj arrived unexpectedly and he tried a shot at him before he escaped. But surely a 6+ feet famous person can't enter or escape from the Malliks easily for sure, or may be Mamta opened some side door for him. Yudh's guilt combined with his nervous condition may have led him to lose control with the channel head.
The person who threatened Mamta as she told her dad was not Anuj for sure. As Mamta never knew that Anuj was aware of her affair which he was not till some time ago.
Nikhil too might have planned it out with Mamta...made her tell her dad that Anuj was threatening her, then killed her to get rid of her and then implicate Anuj and make it seem that YS was framing Anuj and have a clean slate himself.

No, no, my dearest Cuddly Bear, DON"T do that. Just read my posts and watch only Episode 20, I mean.

Yudh is a visual and aural experience not to be missed. I try very hard to cover everything, but NOTHING can make up for not watching it. Modesty is an overrated virtue, but I have to be honest, and even I cannot make up for anyone not watching the proceedings onscreen.

And then again, why miss something so special that lands up in your TV 4 times a week at such a a convenient time? So do make an effort and watch it at least online, my dear girl, for Episodes 1-4, and then read my posts once more, You can then carry on from there.

Your @ blue is promising, but let us see. It is a humdinger of a serial, and after Thursday August 14, I am surely going to have severe withdrawal symptoms. Yudh is addictive; I have already watched Episode 4 three times, and after reading this post, my mother wants us to watch it yet again!

20 mins later and I have grasped the story from you Shyamala Akka. I wonder if I need to watch when you have detailed it in order and also made the point that Yudh doesn't believe in luck. So all these happenings have a very logical progression.

There's a mystery person who may have orchestrated a Nikhil_Mamta conspiracy to kill Anuj. But it went wrong and Mamta ended up dead - this is what I got from reading. Some wires are crossed, as you say and that is probably what builds the tension. I suppose it depends on who the mystery person was trying to frame.

A lot more besides that you have mentioned and I have noted for future reference.
Oh and Rishi's impending kidnap by naxalites just made the whole plot that much more ... I don't know...just more something... 😆

I have also hit upon the idea of reading your stellar updates and then finally watching episode 20 to wrap it up nicely.

Do try a marathon. You will not regret it. I caught up with all the episodes only this weekend. It is like a Devil's Snare, slowly and firmly it will envelop you.

when Yudh, responding to Nikhil's startled Aap?, replies Han, main! , with all the arrogant self-assurance of Amitabh Bachchan in his prime. Next, when he is assuring Nikhil that he can trust him, Yudh, because Nikhil's affair with a married woman is not his concern, the voice says one thing and the face says another. The lips are drawn back in a mocking smile, and the eyes are amused but probing, trying to assess which way the cat will jump.

The above is vintage AB that we can picture without watching. You understand him. I did watch the first episode and it was quite unnerving seeing him momentarily lose the superficial changes of an ageing visage and show that same familiar presence that some of us have grown up with. I've not watched him in tv shows or recent movies so for me it was quite moving.

And I may not have said ... I'm in Australia. Time difference plays havoc plus I watch Hindi Tv shows online. So believe me when I say, it's a great help reading you and getting both the distilled version and the thoroughly detailed one. This is a story that we can get our teeth into ( and I'm far more switched on with this than that other show we watched 😉) So let me see how I go, time permitting.

The hulk IS turning up coming week and is going to toss Jodha Begum like Chowmein and scare her, all RV nirbhayatha vanished and she will become the damsel in distress, with the spineless salaamfying knight running around (without purpose for sure) to rescue her. Then she will be scared and our colour vomit specialist Hakima Saahiba will prescribe happiness. So Mr.TRP will be recalled to sing happy songs to keep her in good humour. You can watch the whole lot next Saturday at one go and win the next Param Veer Chakra.😆
