I think Meenu's repeated plotting and manipulations has indirectly tampered with Abir's logic. He isn't able to understand Mishti's words entirely because he has already decided that Meenu has messed with her head. Now, everytime something doesn't work out the way it should (in Abir's ideal world), it's a result of Meenu's brainwashing.
