6 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE :
“Chalo kiddos sleeping time”
“Hey Papa ki special story time! Papa aaj humein fairy ka story batao na please please.”
OK, OK
“Lekin Usmein phirse Angry Chorni tou nahin ayegi na papa” asked Mihir
“Nahin iss baar sirf Rajkot ki fairy aur uski fairy dust”
Abir went on to relate the story of the fairy godmother in Rajkot, who saved those around her with her fairy dust, which was sacrifice, kindness, love. She took the blame, sometimes even the shame. She got hurt and disregarded and was even taunted by some. She was very exhausted, but she never gave up because of her love for her best half. She brought home happiness, success and good luck always and mostly importantly stood for the right – always a healer and always a builder never a wrecker.
“If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”
This fairy’s love for her Godparents BM and BP, was so great that she faked her relationship with her sister for them, so that they don’t worry. The love for her best half, Prince Ajeeb Rajvansh superseded all and the relationship she faked with her sister, she tries to fix this time, at his behest. He is her special fairy dust, without which she is practically useless and dead. All that she receives from him in the form of love, kindness, sacrifice she blows into the world so that others may live.
So, he ended the story for his kids with a valuable moral.
Isliye, Misha, Mihir, jab aapke choti sister / brother ayenge mumma ke tummy sey 5 months ke baad aur kabhi bhi, humein ik team jaise operate karna hoga ok?
Kabi kabaar hum ek doosre se angry honge par humein baat karkey apne problems ko suljhaana chaahiye. Jab tum fairy ho na Misha tab Mihir tumhaara magic dust hoga understood?
Haan Papa Jaise mama boltin hain Aap Magician ho aur mumma aapki special magic wand, so yes understood. Aap na, worry mat karo. (Ref: ABIRACADABRA – The magic that is Abir Rajvansh on India Forums)
Thus, Abir Rajvansh showed his kids the right way, unlike Varsha and Shaurya who prepared the bed of roses as a path for Kuhu, with Jasmeet fertilizing it with treachery, insinuations and hatred.
Now, coming to the lies we tell others, they too can be segregated. Lies are bad and that being established, there is something called a WHITE LIE which Mishti told yesterday. A white lie is one which is fabricated to avoid hurting other person’s feelings - yes, a temporary band aid. Her relationship with Abir, we all know has been taken very seriously by Mishti so far, be it Meenu, Mehul, Kunal, she has hidden facts to avoid hurting him but it has always been to protect him from pain.
Your angry chorni Abir, is extremely honest except where she wants to protect you and even there the truth is delayed and not denied. Even your bosom bro will not differ on that trait of hers. Did she not call Mishti Harishchandra on the Mumbai visit during Ganesh Chaturthi Festival?
The lies that Abir told have been very few in contrast but have been the same - to protect Mishti, and his family at different points in time. With her abandonment issues, the one big controversial grey lie that he told to protect Kunal and Parul Maasi destroyed her to an extensive extent. Yet, she came back because her love for him stood high lofty and strong and she fought for him.
Abir’s hurt too was great then, but he knew why he did and said the things he did, but Mishti didn't. He broke up with Mishti and hurt her bad to make her believe. The direct recipient of that benefit was Maasi and Kunal. He always knew, despite breaking up with her hurting her and disappointing her, she could always be someone he could go to for advice anytime. He did that when Parul Maasi was in jail and Mishti helped him yet again despite her heartbreak and sorrow and that is where Abir failed yesterday. The same friendship that he sought for in Mishti today, he could have done that for her yesterday now couldn’t he?
Not to keep a balance scorecard because that simply is a NO-NO in a marriage. In partnerships and marriage both partners work together and if one lags, the other steps in and we never keep counts. Mishti stepped in when she realized that everyone was upset albeit with a white lie but she took a step with the fake patch up.
Not as a husband but as friend he could have gently pointed out her mistake that its not going to work in the long run. All Mishti received was an angry reproach with the big future picture in mind. That’s fine when two sensible people are involved but here its an army that Mishti needs to satisfy.
This is where the story of 2 calves tied to a post comes into play. The circumstances in which a person is placed, his genes that have a great say in his nature, tie him to a post called life. It compels him to act either good or bad, cruel or kind, clever or foolish but he retains a limited freedom. Yet everybody has a developed brain with discriminating mind and rational thinking to act, to sense good from bad, right from wrong that tells you what to do and what not to do. No thief can say “I stole it but I never knew it was wrong”
The metaphorical spoilt calf that is Kuhu is tied to the post and if it tries to move and finds that it’s too much effort, slops and sits and waits for Mishti like she did when she asked her at the Rajvansh entrance - “ab kya karein.” Even the baggage that Meenu threw, Mishti set right while Kuhu kept standing there unfazed, because she takes Mishti Mahaan for granted at her beck and call or tantrum.
She gave a pity look to Mishti when she said she truly felt alone, because she needed her to chop-chop get on the job fast. When Meenu fed the Kuhu calf, tidbits, it licked her hand and started singing the mein-mein- Kunal song. Once the calf was in, with Meenu’s time extension, it arrived at the post, it gave Mishti, a salty look and rudely shut the door on Mishti’s face. Then it sat there and listened and chewed on tidbits from Varsha and Jasmeet. The first good suggestion that Kuhu gave Varsha today was to stay away from Jasmeet.
If that calf feels hungry, based on her pedigree of a Maheshwari she is treated royally while the other one that is Mishti slogs, struggles and moves forward. They have moved to a newer pasture that is Rajvansh now and there the pasture is Meenakshi Rajvansh. I think two months alone time with Meenu will get the transformation for Kuhu done but with Abir’s 24/7 supervision and we all know why - Kuhu is a weak calf and Meenu a wolf.
Kuhu is a zero in the human department, because she lacks honesty, love, compassion, empathy and all things that make a good person right now and you are right BP. Had you reprimanded Kuhu for the doll house you wouldn’t be left repenting. Sure, you would have had to face two days of wrath and torture around the Maheshwari household but things wouldn’t have gone so bad now. But beware, there are also two other culprits that eat your food, live under your roof - the two human parasites that are Varsha and Jasmeet that may be doing a lot more, despite calling themselves your family.
Mishti is the calf which is tied to one post but with several ropes and has to tug always with greater willpower and determination. She never separated Kunal and Abir and speaks only about the family all the time.
“He/She who has a firm will, moulds the world to himself.”
Now, even if she sees better pasture and if Kuhu wants it she will do as she has promised Abir. She cannot break the rope and run away so she will chew the rope and take whatever she gets. She has finally lost the freedom to graze and is extremely tired and even a small effort that you demand of her Abir, is going to be very costly for both of you together. Kunal is right – his wife is 95% wrong and sometimes even more. Its 100% of the work that his bhabhi does, to correct the wrong that his bratty wife does.
The dating phase you talk about is different once you get married Abir. Life and its posts and ropes in the forms of constraints increase and that parenthood that you long for will also have other additional pulls too but you are right, partners should never let that trust fade, that friendship break which is why many families break today.
Mishti takes the effort, the pain, responsibility of anything pertaining to Abir very seriously and she will never let him do anything out of Majboori, despite her being in majboori now. Though Abir calls Mishti his moon Iam going to refer to Mishti as his sun today.
One of my favorite love stories, is how the Sun loved the Moon so much, she died every night to let him breathe…
The sun was all powerful and a Sun God who could do anything. Her aura was bright and always glowing with a powerful light so warm, so bright that it healed and promoted health and growth. Every day, people waited for the sun to rise, used the sunlight and heat and took her for granted.
The moon is perceived as dark, today perhaps because he was surrounded by “andher” dense dark night. He is seen as a cold object and now that Mishti has seen his upset and also the naarazgi of her BM and BP she associates all this dark emotion plus the loom of Meenu’s threat as a dark cloud hanging over her and his head and wants everything to end and go home to lock up and sleep.
The moon however wanted to be loved, to be cocooned and celebrated. He wanted the sun to feel his presence, love him cherish him and also wanted the sun to celebrate what they had, recall the camaraderie and fun filled moments and memories of the past, so that they could lay a foundation for a better future
The sun though had a secret – despite being all powerful she was afraid of losing her moon. She adored the moon and loved the way he shone and sailed through the night sky like a sliver of silver of hope and grace, despite any problem that came its way. He didn’t care for any obstacles that came his way like dark clouds. Today the moon vowed, that it would battle with the Rajvansh cloud and keep the sun safe the next day and always. It danced through the sky in and out of dark clouds only to shine and create light even in the darkest corners. Oh! she just treasured and admired him from far.
But circumstances were such that they weren’t allowed to co-exist today, though she waited patiently for him to be with her. She realized that the situation was such that it was not to happen now and she knew what needed to be done. She wanted her moon to show the world what he could offer and she wanted to let him breathe and their love to blossom even his absence. She wanted him to breathe and dance through the sky showing the world his beauty and all that he was worth, so she dealt herself the blow. She moved away from him temporarily though it killed her literally.
She decided to sacrifice her light (in this issue with Kuhu), every night next day onwards, to shine on her moon and his Rajvansh sky, so that he could appear truly beautiful to the whole world, including the Maheshwaris and the Rajvanshes.
Disclaimer: The words calf, wolf, parasite, even the sun and moon are all metaphors and do not denote any ridicule to the actors but just the character traits.
