We're you trying to make me tear up?? Oh my god! What choice of scenes! And when the first line hits and Kunal's emotionless or rather emotion drained face in his wedding look. Baap re!! I wasn't ready for that. That one hit so hard!! And the personification of rooh, saansein, dastak, dar, dil and dhadkan!!👏 (Have I covered them all?)

Since we are our own teachers in this self proclaimed VM workshop but atleast we can be each other's feedback system. So, my only feedback is that your VMs can be a lot smoother. I would say experiment with transitions but with that, the sync of the lyrics and scenes also becomes a bit difficult. I'm thinking of giving bit a go so let's see. I think that's the only thing you're missing with these.

Also, you used dialogues this time!! The music was a bit loud but I don't really have a clue how to do that because I'm too scared to touch audio post production for now. Transitions hi palle nahi padh rahe and if I put in music now, my head will blow up.

My thoughts on these big topics are too messed up to be encapsulated for now but I might blog about it in near future. Will definitely share the link.

So, about the post on toxic masculinity: you can choose to see it both ways. I was trying to kill 2birds with 1 stone because I felt it could be kind of discussed in context of the show. But whenever a discussion on topics like that takes place, it will naturally have to involve a bit of reality to explain your POV because we are basically mixing opinions on things in the real world and trying to understand it through the universe of the show.

The word "tangled" seems to be bothering me though. I don't know why. I know it's supposed to be a call-out for her curly hair and mixing it up with the messy situations but ai don't see Kuhu as a "tangled" girl. I see both of them as insecure and people who are craving for love.

Was checking out the forum to see what new topics had popped up and found out that I am Member of the week so if you guys have any questions you've ever wanted to ask me, go for it, I guess.

@DQ: Thank you so much for noticing all those details and associations, especially the subtle hint about rooh! 😉 And there is always room for more in poetry-induced daze -- it's infinite and infinitessimal, vast yet suffocating.

@Aqua: Thanks for all the feedback, and yes! You covered all the personifications 😃 I am so beyond happy that that came through so clearly. For dastak and dar, the idea was actually that Kunal feels like he is constantly responding (knocking) to the wrong situation (door). He has to acknowledge Parul but when he does, Meenu gets hurt so I interpreted the line as his heart expressing the dilemma of what to respond to, i.e. which is the "right" door to knock on?

As for the transitions, it was actually a conscious choice not to use them in this video because I wanted the effect to be jarring, the same way Kunal isn't really given a second to sit in a problem/feeling before the next one comes along. The dialogues were tricky because all those clips had super dramatic BGM and I am waaay to lazy to figure out how to get rid of that, so my jugaadu solution was to lower the volume enough that you can't really hear it 😛 I am trying to keep this whole exercise light and fun and not get too nitpicky -- it's more about extending the analysis through the combination of poetry and visuals because sometimes that can say so much more than plain old prose.

The Dastak and Dar thing makes so much more sense now. I had been seeing it as Parul being the dastak but it's interchangeable. That's so cool and so difficult to portray in the timing of the lyrics that you did!!

Well then, that's what you're going to get from now!! I'm going to focus on the conception and keep it light and fun.

I had been thinking that you were doing that but I am personally so caught up with both that I forget. I am literally doing both things and you and Snow are doing kind of opposite things. She is using this as an opportunity to focus on her editing skills and you on the creativity. And I am trying to learn and then express and going crazy because even if totally messes up my brain, the satisfaction my OCD gets when the lyrics match and the concept comes through is mind blowing.
