New interview but old times when people could go out and interview them face to face

So, people's!!

Start dropping your questions for the cast and I'll assemble them and send it to Kaveri. Hopefully she and maybe others can answer them.

And by cast, I mean anyone and everyone. Since Kaveri seems to be the most approachable isliye I'm think of sending it to her. Hopefully, our questions would be good enough for her and others that they answer them.

I'm sorry! I had to! 🙈

Also, update on my VM career (that's the reason I am not replying right now and also, why I am not asleep at 3am. My sleep cycle has become poora ulta after joining IF): I finished the basic tutorial i.e. 2 lessons out of 16 from the introductory training module😱 so I thought I'll try my hand at making the 1st one. Sapne to bohot bade bade sajaaye hain but sach honge ya nahi is the question🤞🏼.

EDIT: Nahi aata jitna socha tha. How do you align scenes to lyrics without cutting them off completely??

Re. Interview videos: I haven't seen the Jim sarbh one😮. Adding it to my watchlist! He is such an awesome actor! Has anyone seen 'Made in Heaven'? It's brilliant!! So so good! I fell in love with Shashank Arora's character (videographer/photographer) in that show.

Sam, that FC video made me want to watch regional movies and the only time I have seen regional movies has been when I was on a bus travelling between cities. Not saying that they're bad or anything, just that I haven't given those movies a chance because I didn't want to read subtitles the whole time. But regional cinema in India is so much more experimental and free with their content. They have much more freedom to explore.

Indian TV and bollywood essentially follow a similar route. They keep making content based on a set formula. Digital platforms have become the game changers but I fear that they won't have as much freedom in near future with the way the censor board in this country works. I really hope the digital platforms bring about a change in the content on TV rather than being sucked in the formula based vortex of regressive content.

Re. Kunal VM: The creator has done a fab job of conveying Kunal's emotions. I agree with whoever mentioned this about Ritvik and Kaveri analysing and working as hard as they do. (Sorry, I don't remember who it was). I think it comes with the territory of being newcomers for them. All the other actors are seasoned in their craft. They've worked for quite a long time and have this created their own process but these 2 are still in their learning phase and I think that's where their bonding and analysis of their own performance comes in. I love the fact that they put in the amount of effort that they do!

@bold: I have. It a great show. I do have one issue with it though but I won't do into it here.

@blue: you have to slice and dice scenes until the fit the lyrics. I'm working on a VM atm that uses dialogue and music. But I need to clean the dialogue slips. Dimaag kharab ho raha hai. Beech mein I've made 2 simpler VM's 😆.

I've watched Malayalam movies. The industry comes out with some of the best cinema. The last malayalam movie I watched was Angamaly Diaries - loved it! I need to watch Kumbalangi Nights.

pihu, thanks dear for taking on this tedious task🤗

I have the same questions for kavik, as I mentioned in the previous thread, I would like to ask them:

1. how much do you relate to the character you are playing onscreen?

2. are you always convinced about their acts/decision?, when you are not completely convinced, how do you manage to portray with full conviction?

3. do you think that people learn, emulate & are influenced by their favourite characters? do you feel responsible & do you feel pressure of that responsibility?

4. whats your take on the fanwars, are you aware of those (mishti vs kuhu, mishbir vs kuku)?

5. how do you prepare for the role? do you like to share your inputs in the scenes, like improvising dialogues, suggesting & discussing with co-star, specially in couples scenes?

6. how do you deal with the criticism directed towards your onscreen character?

also these, not sure if you can ask them, but its more like a feedback from my side so just posting (feel free to exclude these🤪):

7. for kaveri particularly, she looks great opposite Shaheer when in the same frame, they make an awesome pair❤️ 2 gorgeous, insanely hot, tall, talented, fun-loving & chilled out people☺️ so can we expect to see them in a romantic space maybe in a webseries in future😈?

8. for ritvik, being the youngest one in the cast, and most song sequences being chosen from the bolllywood classics like hddcs, k3g😔 does he makes it a point to learn the lyrics & watch the videos etc. of these songs🤪 since being a studious kid & in school at the time these movies were released😆 he might have not watched or listened to the songs 🤣

I had a whole lot of issues with the show which I don't remember anymore because I saw it a year back and when mental health was in the dumps so memory of that time is super hazy but I do remember the good parts. It was a show which was so messy but weirdly good. I don't know what the correct way to describe it would be. Anyway, I would love to know what you thought so PM me on IF or IG.

Slicing the scenes is breaking my heart🥺🙈. I think I'll probably have to speed the clips as well and reduce the number of clips I had thought of putting in. Itni to bilkul hi fit nahi hongi.

Cue music and imagine me doing a whole lot of melodrama: Dil ke armaan aansuon me beh gaye😢🎶

Edit: You'll get through it, Gurumaa!! And share those VMs if they're done.

Kumbalangi nights is on my watchlist. I'll add Angamaly diaries to the list. I've heard a lot about malyalam cinema. If you watch any more movies that you like, pass on the suggestions to me please!

I want to know the answers to pehel to karni padegi na. So, I'm just being selfish😆

And about this last question, I would like to answer this because it seems to be directed to my generation: Of course, he would've watched K3G. Who hasn't??! If he hasn't, what is he even doing in this business?!

About HDDCS, I haven't watched the poori movie but I've seen enough bits and pieces to know the whole story and be super familiar with the songs so would have the rest of the people my age, I guess. HDDCS used to be my mom's favourite movie and also, I'm guessing most of the people would have seen the classics because we grew up in a time when the world was learning to use the internet for basic things and at that point of time, the only source to watch movies was to watch them with the whole family on weekends soooo dekhi honi chahiye usne bhi.

Kaveri-shaheer waala question mere bas ki nahi hai poochha because mujhe sharam aati hai aise sawaal poochne me. Haye daiya!🤭😝

8. do the directors encourage improvisation, or are you asked to follow to script closely at all times?

9. How do you separate work from home, especially when you're coming back from doing emotionally taxing scenes? Does it affect your headspace negatively afterwards?

Hey all! So I spent a ridiculous amount of time yesterday on this VM that I was super-invested in and then realised Insta won't let me post it because the song is under heavy copywright. 🥺

I thought I would at least share it with you all here, so here's the google drive link.

It's my love-letter to the character of Kuhu and also what I wish I could say to her right now. ❤️

Kunal's dialogue at the very end 😭❤️The lyrics are so apt! Hats off, Sam! 👏
