Wow! There's been so much discussion on this post since I last visited and somehow ye fir Mishti vs Kuhu ho gaya. Haaye ram!🙆🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ But except for the beech me "Mishti mahaanta" and "materialistic Kuhu" posts, rest of the replies were really insightful.
First of all, I agree with most of Uru's replies here but the point I would like to mention again is that I don't think the intention of the TM was to call Mishti mahaan. I feel they just couldn't understand the scene like most of us because there was no build up given before that scene. It would have been better if we could have gotten a scene with Meenu and Kunal discussing this to understand this move. Now, coming to the insightful stuff, you guys reminded me of the help Kuhu received from the RV bros in setting up her business, giving Mishti's POV on why she accepted the papers without much insistence and why this gesture felt important to her and that RVs have more companies too so that's why the other family members were not too worried. I think we are all so involved in the respective ATs that we miss out on other characters ka perspective and that is why posts like these become so insightful. Thanks y'all!😛
I would like to share my perspective on the scene as well. Let me know what you all think.
From the replies on this post, I got to understand that it was a sweet gesture on the Maa-bete's part to think of providing financial security to their bahu. What I don't get is how they decided on Red Pear Travels because she just showed interest in participating in the family business. Wouldn't it be better to have shown Mishti understand the different businesses the RVs handle and see where her interests and strengths lie before giving her the travel business? I would have liked to see that rather than them judging her skills based on the work done in Abir's NGO. Also, that would have made more sense for Mishti as well as the business.
The think that irked me most was KuKu but mostly Kunal #dufferchokro (I'll explain why I say that). I feel what Kuhu was trying to say by "Red Pear Travels me to hum dono ne saath me kaam kiya tha na" was that, it is where Kuhu and Kunal spent a lot of time together and kind of where she fell in love with him (her dancing dream sequence when Kunal was shouting on her because ITV and bollywood me dream sequence se hi pata chalta hai ki pyaar ho gaya). He even gave her the bracelet there. So, from Kuhu's perspective, I think she would have thought that all the time spent there would mean something for Kunal now that he said he loves her. So, giving away that specific company would have hurt her feelings.
Coming to my #dufferchokro comment, dude insulted his wife on her birthday and contradicted the NGO statement in the same line! By saying "Aur hume tabhi pata chal gaya tha ki ye kaam tumhaare liye nahi hai" and then explaining why they chose Mishti based on her work in the NGO, he basically insulted her efforts and her ability to handle a business, when she is successfully managing one. I mean, it takes time to learn.
Also, what I mean when I say that he contradicted his own statement is that he said Kuhu has her own business, which seems to be doing great, but she wasn't good at being an assistant in a travel company. Same way, it's not necessary that helping out in the NGO translates to successful management of the company. Both require different skill sets.
