Going to drop in my two cents here. Abir and Mishti are both making mistkes because they are not in the correct head space. The situation they currently are in, is a result of their own doings, none to be blamed more than the other. Mishti chose to not tell Abir she was investigating Baba because she thought Abir was not too strong to handle it and it might affect their relationship. Abir didn't try to work around Meenakshi's blackmail because he couldn't think of a way to. He was put in a spot, he had little to no time. He has known Kunal for all his life and Kunal took great pride in being Meenu's son. So yes, the truth is going to shake him. So Abir decided he had to protect his brother. At the cost of his relationship with Mishti. They were both wrong and they are both suffering.
Currently, I don't know about Abir not deserving Mishti but I do know Mishti should stop pining for Abir. Bringing in a third character was cute for the first two seconds but out of character. Abir's jealousy has always been in a cutesy shade, Mishti decided to 'weaponize' it. Which was... Wrong? She constantly tried doing it when not necessary and that was a mistake. Mishti needs to stop fighting for them when Abir doesn't want her to. We know that he does, he isn't telling her. She is assuming and being happy and then she again needs to 'test' it. Stupid moves. But, he is taking his time, when he tells her she should move away, she should. It is not only for Abir's sake. Meenakshi gets yet another chance to taunt Bade Papa which is terrible. Mishtu should think of the family who is so concerned for her. They are so tensed for her well-being, hoping she moves on. BP wanted her to be a strong lady who is capable in and of herself. That is what Abir admired about her, not she isn't behvaing that way. She loves him. I know. We all know but I hate to see what they do to her character when they let her be crazy behind him.
Also, Mishti asking "Did Abir ask you to do it?" was a pretty natural reaction. The guy who has been super supportive of her belief that Abir still loves her, who has been living in the guilt of hurting his family, striving for a better life for the last ten years was given alcohol, literally poision for him. It pu ten years of his life to trash, also put his life in danger. Mishti didn't know Meenakshi knew she was back. Mishti only knee that she has tried to make Abir jealous. Mishti only knew that if Abir (being the person that he is) wanted to make a move on her he would want to know she was available. She doesn't know Abir thought "She took my name as soon as she woke up." she doesn't know anything about his side of the story except that he broke up with her first publicly, then privately, both being very hurtful. It was a moment of pani, of almost losing a friend, of ruining his life for her love. It was okay that it slipped from her mouth. We all say things that we regret later.
And all of this that is happening just goes on to prove that Abir and Mishti really needed a break from each other. Their story is beautiful but they were ready to get married too soon. There was no 'knowing' each other. There was just knowing what they other was feeling. They didn't share secrets, they didn't share trust. Mishti has always feared being left alone. Abir promised to never do that. When she finally believed him, (we could see that when she reassured him that she'd fight for their love always) he left her. Which is terrible in and of itself. Abir was never loved unconditionally, Mishti did that but Abir's selfless love for Kunal proved to him, again, that he couldn't have unconditional love. These two have a long way to go. They need to work around a lot of extwrnal issues but that can only happen when they take care of the internal issues. They are not irredeemable or ruined as characters. It is not surprising that they are doing things that they are. Him saying that he hates the fact that he loves her, valid. Because he currently does. If Kunal tried to kill himself, Abir is going to be upset about it. Expecting blind trust is expecting him to be God. He will come around, he is still the same man. He'll think it through when he is not surrounded by panic. They need room to grow and I would love to watch that. Expecting a flowery fluff is stupid, we are watching a real relationship (as real as they come on ITV). I want the growth and the development and I know that they'll come out stronger that ever. You don't automatically 'deserve' people by doing a few things. It's a constant process.
So yes, Abir will deserve Mishti as long as he gives her reason to trust himself and Mishti will deserve Abir as long as she loves him unconditionally. That is what their entire relationship is based on and removing any of those messes things up. Sometimes, it's in excess and that messes it up to but as long as they want to be together, as long as they are willing to, it's all good.
“If soulmates do exist, they are not found, they're made. People meet, they get a good feeling, then they get to work building a relationship.”
Maybe the post got just too heavy. I have a lot of thoughts about the leap, sometimes I get angry at Abir, sometimes at Mishti but I guess that's just the process of loving them, I want them happy. That doesn't mean I won't let them make mistakes and grow.
