I would like to start off by saying that I absolutely hated the contrived manner in which Kuhu was projected today. It was annoying to hear her feel concerned for Mishti when the problem (for whatever reasons) was caused by her in the first place.
Usually this contrived manner of showing characters as 'great' is used for Abir and Mishti, like how conveniently they showed MishBir wanting to seek BP and BM's blessings right after Abir makes his relationship with Mishti public. When until that point they had no issues hiding their relationship from their respective families. It also seems far from convincing when Mishti says yesterday that she is feeling worried for Kuhu when it didn't come across as that way at all. She was thinking about her date, about how BP and BM would react to her relationship with Abir, the dailogue about feeling worried for Kuhu was dropped in just to show how she is the big hearted girl always worried for her sister.
I don't think Kuhu is a character beyond redemption. Mishti and Abir were always only going to have conflicts because of external factors and in the current case the external factor (as pointed by the writers) happens to be Kuhu.
Then again there is this point that Abir never really seriously considered what impact him being with Mishti would have on Kunal. Right after the engagement broke off, Kunal was made to feel that Mishti is taking Abir away as Abir openly sided with Mishti right from the start and didn't show consideration for how Kunal feels about rejection.
Had Kunal been given the time to come to terms with the rejection without having to feel worried for how his brother is being with Mishti, probably his dislike for Mishti would not have gone magnified to the extent that he can't stand the sight of her and loses his temper almost everytime she is around.
I personally think it totally makes sense for Kuhu to think that if she is to try and save her marriage the first and foremost thing that needs to be done is that Mishti should stay away from the family. She doesn't have problem with Mishti and Abir being together, she has problem with how it impacts her relationship. More than what is Kuhu's undoing, Abir right now is only facing the consequences of his ignorance for his brother's feelings.
First thing I'd like to point out about this reply is how completely unfair and biased this analysis for Mishti, Abir and Kuhu is.
Kuhu has always been portrayed in the 'contrived' manner that you are talking about from the very first episode especially when it comes to Mishti. She is always the one who creates problems that directly hurt her sister and then momentarily feel bad about it after which she forgets about them altogether. Not once has she repented or shown real remorse over her actions.
Abir and Mishti on the other hand I beg to differ, have never been shown in the contradicting manner that Kuhu has always been deliberately portrayed by the makers. Whenever Mishti and Abir have shown concern or happiness for their respective siblings it's always been in the most natural and relatable manner. They have never been consciously responsible for any harm/pain that their siblings have suffered unlike Kuhu and Kunal. They have never once been jealous over their sibling's happiness or blamed them for their problems.
This parallel that you are trying to draw between what Kuhu did and what Mishbir did makes zero sense. On one hand we have Kuhu, plotting, actively scheming and manipulating people around her to completely destroy someone else's happiness. On the other hand, two people in love with each other, taking the decision of making their 'personal' relationship public. Mishti and Abir had every right to make that decision for their relationship. I mean, what did you expect them to have done? Remain a secret forever? How does that make sense? What exactly is contradicting or contriving about that move? It was something that was expected of them unlike Kuhu.
Besides, the post I don't think was about making Kuhu into the "only villain" in Mishbir's love story. We are well aware about how difficult their journey ahead is. We just didn't expect Kuhu to go to such lengths to cause pain to the two people who have always wanted the best for her. That is the issue we have with her character. We can understand Kuhu wanting to still save her sham of a marriage but not at the cost of destroying two other people's happiness. What she did yesterday was more than just wanting to save her own relationship. Whatever her skewed reasons are for wanting to believe in Mishti being the bane of her existence, her going as far as destroying not one but two people's chance at true love and happiness is something we didn't expect her character to be reduced to. She plotted to get the family witness the intimate date that Mishbir had planned to ensure BP and BM felt betrayed by Mishti and never believed in Mishbir again. She knew what she was doing. She manipulated Kunal into thinking Mishti was yet again the only reason why the two brothers were growing apart, there by ensuring Kunal continued to blame Mishti for all his problems in life. She did that fully aware of what she was doing. That's not an innocent girl pushed into doing something she didn't want to do. That is a girl who knows exactly what she is doing. That is not immaturity, that's pure evil. What she is doing is in fact exactly what Meenu does but worse because the two people she is scheming against have no idea about it.
How exactly are Abir and Mishti to be blamed for all the mess that Kuhu and Kunal are directly responsible for? Did Mishti and Abir force the two to get married? Kuhu forced every single person in her family including Mishti to help her get married to the man of her dreams. Mishti went as far as humiliating the family that she cared so much about, only for the said sister's happiness. Kunal convincingly played the part of a 'man in love' to convince Abir for the marriage. Abir keeps going above and beyond in order to keep his brother happy. The reason he stood by Mishti wasn't to support Mishti or aggravate Kunal. He stood by her because she was right and Kunal was wrong as simple as that. Besides, how was he to know that Kunal was doing all of it because of his concern over Mishbir's growing closeness? What was Abir supposed to do? The only reason he kept meeting Mishti was because of Kuku's relationship. You make him sound so selfish when he was nothing like that at all. He isn't Edward Cullen to read the guy's mind. Can the guy catch a break?
Getting annoyed by their interference in their siblings life I can understand but saying Mishbir are responsible for the pain they are currently going through while excusing the actual culprits is not just unfair but completely absurd.
