I was one of the few people who was ready to give Kuhu the benefit of doubt after the dahi handi sequence because she was shown to be remorseful and afterwards for a few episodes she acted sensibly. I finally thought that she is improving but the last two episodes made me realize that expecting Kuhu to be a good person is a futile endeavor. I get her hate for Mishti she has called her a puppy, a charity case, unworthy of love, no value character because in her brain she has this flawed image that Mishti always ruins things in her life. What I don't get is her blatant disregard for Abir's feelings. On one end she calls him Abir bhai and on the other end she is eavesdropping on a private conversation and is now actively plotting against Abir. She even tried to instigate Kunal. I thought pushing her sister and injuring her would knock some sense in to Kuhu but this girl will never learn. What's worse is that instead of Varsha teaching her daughter that you can't be happy by taking away other people's happiness she is supporting her daughter in her vile plans. Not only that today Kunal was rude to Jugnu as well due to Kuhu. This character just keeps falling to a new level of low everyday. My sincere request to makers is that instead of ignoring all her actions Abir and the whole Mahs family needs to know Kuhu's truth. Also they need to give Kuhu's character substance right now she has no spine. She is legit destroying other people's happiness for a sham marriage this is not the message that should be given to young girls.

P.S this is critique on the character and not on the actor.

This post really surprised me. But i can understand what made an optimistic person like you to write such a post.Another well written post Zara and i totally agree with you.

Like others even i used to think Kuhu is childish and immature. But i never supported her constant taunting and blaming game towards Mishti. It was become her habit to blame Mishti for everything. Till Mishti's gordhana her character was relatable. But after that her character has taken a 360 degree turn. Her blind love for Kunal has made her an self centered and obsessive person. Now after knowing Kunal's truth she is become a bitter and dangerous person. She just wants to save her marriage by hook or crook. In this process she has started following BB's way to control things and she is not hesitating to harm the loved ones. This is very dangerous.

You are absolutely right. She is beyond redemption now. That's why i want her truth to be out infront of everyone.

i agree and i kind of feel sad to even say that..her characterization is turning more and more worse day by day..whatever weird reasons she might have for hampering mishti's happiness i wnt go there but what about abir? seriously? that guy made u his bro..truly fought for ur happiness, always looked out for u and cared for u selflessly..y would u do this to him?? damnit girl..for me she's indeed beyond redemption..i even find kunal better than her..atleast he is consistent with his feelings and openly admitting to abir that he doesnt want mishti in abir's life..but kuhu..she's a backstabber behind that bro facade

Couldn't agree more, Zara! Kuhu is a backstabber and that makes her dangerous.

She has total disregard for anyone's feelings except her own. I honestly have never liked her but didn't think she will stoop this low. Her character is continuously getting worse. Everything has to be about her. Doesn't matter what anyone has done for her, she selfish and as long as it helps her, she is nice to the person.

She is a chameleon, changes her colours to suit her needs. This is how horrible a person Kuhu is. There is nothing worse than a person pretending to be something else and turns around to backstab the ones who are family.

I absolutely despise her!! I have disliked her from the very first episode and I see that my dislike wasn't misplaced. I really hope that everything Kuhu has done against Abir and Mishti, be revealed to everyone. Especially in front of Abir and BP!! Varsha should see that she has failed as a mother and raised an absolutely useless daughter.

I hope that makers start on her redemption. I am not going to buy if they try to whitewash her. I honestly don't think I am ever going to like Kuhu!!

Thanks for Making this post. Totally Agree with you.

Exactly Kuhu is a character beyond redemption.

Meenakshi and Kunal are way better than Kuhu. Kuhu is downright selfish and Jealous and thinks ONLY about herself.

Zara.. Thank you so much for making this post... I Have been fuming after watching yesterday's episode... And after today's episode tho 🤬🤬

She's downright selfish... What she's talking is completely diabolical... She's saying she's feeling bad for hurting Mishti but then again she's hurting Abir also.. And the reason she's giving for doing this is her marriage will fall apart...

WTH!! Kunal is hell bent on spoiling their marriage.. Am waiting for the day she knows this..

If Kunal has a problem with Mishti shouldn't she be trying to make him see reason Atleast.. Didn't Abir and Mishti help her get married to her so called love of her life... Then what rights does she have to try to stop them from getting together..

I feel benba and Kunal are far better.. They are Atleast consistent on their actions... What kuhu, varsha and jas are doing is extremely hypocritical.. And makes them untrustworthy..

I would like to start off by saying that I absolutely hated the contrived manner in which Kuhu was projected today. It was annoying to hear her feel concerned for Mishti when the problem (for whatever reasons) was caused by her in the first place.

Usually this contrived manner of showing characters as 'great' is used for Abir and Mishti, like how conveniently they showed MishBir wanting to seek BP and BM's blessings right after Abir makes his relationship with Mishti public. When until that point they had no issues hiding their relationship from their respective families. It also seems far from convincing when Mishti says yesterday that she is feeling worried for Kuhu when it didn't come across as that way at all. She was thinking about her date, about how BP and BM would react to her relationship with Abir, the dailogue about feeling worried for Kuhu was dropped in just to show how she is the big hearted girl always worried for her sister.

I don't think Kuhu is a character beyond redemption. Mishti and Abir were always only going to have conflicts because of external factors and in the current case the external factor (as pointed by the writers) happens to be Kuhu.

Then again there is this point that Abir never really seriously considered what impact him being with Mishti would have on Kunal. Right after the engagement broke off, Kunal was made to feel that Mishti is taking Abir away as Abir openly sided with Mishti right from the start and didn't show consideration for how Kunal feels about rejection.

Had Kunal been given the time to come to terms with the rejection without having to feel worried for how his brother is being with Mishti, probably his dislike for Mishti would not have gone magnified to the extent that he can't stand the sight of her and loses his temper almost everytime she is around.

I personally think it totally makes sense for Kuhu to think that if she is to try and save her marriage the first and foremost thing that needs to be done is that Mishti should stay away from the family. She doesn't have problem with Mishti and Abir being together, she has problem with how it impacts her relationship. More than what is Kuhu's undoing, Abir right now is only facing the consequences of his ignorance for his brother's feelings.

I completely agree that Abir has always underestimated Kunal's issues and hate for Mishti and thats partly why the issue is getting compounded but can you please explain how Abir is supposed to know Kunal is that affected when he proclaims he loves Kuhu and desperately wants to get married to her? He looked very happy throughout all the marriage functions. Even when he ran away, he only gave silly excuses without getting to the root of the problem. What stopped Kunal from saying that he absolutely cannot stand Mishti and he agreed to marry Kuhu just to protect bhai from her? Why is all the burden on Abir to find out what goes on in Kunal's mind and then resolve it?

Coming to Kuhu, yes everyone is selfish and wants to preserve their marriage first. But how far can you go to ensure that you are happy? Instigate the family, your husband, mother and everyone around to separate your sibling from a guy you call bhai and who has stood up for you multiple times in the past, just to safeguard your own marital life?

First thing I'd like to point out about this reply is how completely unfair and biased this analysis for Mishti, Abir and Kuhu is.

Kuhu has always been portrayed in the 'contrived' manner that you are talking about from the very first episode especially when it comes to Mishti. She is always the one who creates problems that directly hurt her sister and then momentarily feel bad about it after which she forgets about them altogether. Not once has she repented or shown real remorse over her actions.

Abir and Mishti on the other hand I beg to differ, have never been shown in the contradicting manner that Kuhu has always been deliberately portrayed by the makers. Whenever Mishti and Abir have shown concern or happiness for their respective siblings it's always been in the most natural and relatable manner. They have never been consciously responsible for any harm/pain that their siblings have suffered unlike Kuhu and Kunal. They have never once been jealous over their sibling's happiness or blamed them for their problems.

This parallel that you are trying to draw between what Kuhu did and what Mishbir did makes zero sense. On one hand we have Kuhu, plotting, actively scheming and manipulating people around her to completely destroy someone else's happiness. On the other hand, two people in love with each other, taking the decision of making their 'personal' relationship public. Mishti and Abir had every right to make that decision for their relationship. I mean, what did you expect them to have done? Remain a secret forever? How does that make sense? What exactly is contradicting or contriving about that move? It was something that was expected of them unlike Kuhu.

Besides, the post I don't think was about making Kuhu into the "only villain" in Mishbir's love story. We are well aware about how difficult their journey ahead is. We just didn't expect Kuhu to go to such lengths to cause pain to the two people who have always wanted the best for her. That is the issue we have with her character. We can understand Kuhu wanting to still save her sham of a marriage but not at the cost of destroying two other people's happiness. What she did yesterday was more than just wanting to save her own relationship. Whatever her skewed reasons are for wanting to believe in Mishti being the bane of her existence, her going as far as destroying not one but two people's chance at true love and happiness is something we didn't expect her character to be reduced to. She plotted to get the family witness the intimate date that Mishbir had planned to ensure BP and BM felt betrayed by Mishti and never believed in Mishbir again. She knew what she was doing. She manipulated Kunal into thinking Mishti was yet again the only reason why the two brothers were growing apart, there by ensuring Kunal continued to blame Mishti for all his problems in life. She did that fully aware of what she was doing. That's not an innocent girl pushed into doing something she didn't want to do. That is a girl who knows exactly what she is doing. That is not immaturity, that's pure evil. What she is doing is in fact exactly what Meenu does but worse because the two people she is scheming against have no idea about it.

How exactly are Abir and Mishti to be blamed for all the mess that Kuhu and Kunal are directly responsible for? Did Mishti and Abir force the two to get married? Kuhu forced every single person in her family including Mishti to help her get married to the man of her dreams. Mishti went as far as humiliating the family that she cared so much about, only for the said sister's happiness. Kunal convincingly played the part of a 'man in love' to convince Abir for the marriage. Abir keeps going above and beyond in order to keep his brother happy. The reason he stood by Mishti wasn't to support Mishti or aggravate Kunal. He stood by her because she was right and Kunal was wrong as simple as that. Besides, how was he to know that Kunal was doing all of it because of his concern over Mishbir's growing closeness? What was Abir supposed to do? The only reason he kept meeting Mishti was because of Kuku's relationship. You make him sound so selfish when he was nothing like that at all. He isn't Edward Cullen to read the guy's mind. Can the guy catch a break?

Getting annoyed by their interference in their siblings life I can understand but saying Mishbir are responsible for the pain they are currently going through while excusing the actual culprits is not just unfair but completely absurd.
