I'm a woman and I take offence

Dear makers

I don't agree with your portrayal and treatment to women in this show. the way women are projected in this show ,it makes me think whether the only thing they do it scheming and plotting and are definitely oblivious to the world around them. Agreed you definitely are targeting a certain sect of audience but I'm Sure you haven't done your study regarding your target profile. Why are you hellbent on only defining them as either hapless or downright wicked.I don't even want that preach on how evolved women can be,how well they can nurture relationships which is something that comes so naturally to them.In the entire show there is not even a single portrayal of any worth mentioning character. There is either a overtly dominating character like bb or insipid sides like Varsha or Jasmeet. Is this what we are reduced to ?Are they trying to project that we are only capable of dishing out this nonsense in terms of insecurities, jealousy or subservience. Are we not capable of achieving anything on our own.Im afraid I do not agree with this..In the parent show bp's mother was shown to be a very sorted individual, who dealt with every situation in a very matured manner. She never faltered on even a single occasion and this resulted in Bm and akshara becoming loving and compassionate.

We as women have always handled any adversity with a lot of grace and patience and I cannot accept some story teller just languishing our portrayal for the sake of some numbers. This is the reason why Kunal gets away with physically man handling Mishti and here Abir is trying to pacify him with some cooking and a bike gift....seriously...Is this the value of a female honour. Mishti was extremely magnanimous by not reacting there because it was in front of a lot of people. Im sorry Abir but you seriously disappointed me.Just by reacting in a spur of the moment will not correct the blunder that Kunal has committed.By even deciding to even talk with him and not showing your disapproval, you are again encouraging him to repeat the same thing again. Are you not encouraging him, maybe even indirectly ,to become what he is today.Upholding the honour of a woman is different than loving her.Are you not being downright selfish by buying peace at the cost of correcting Kunal's character.Actually then don't blame him tomorrow as he has been brought up women who don't deserve to be mothers.

Ps ... My dear Mishti please remember that your honour is above everything else and don't let anyone dethrone you from a pedestal you are on

Can't help but agree 😒

Abir ko sorry Bolne ki jagah ki ye baatein mishti ko Aage bhi Sun ni padegi ye bolna chahiye tha ki main kunal ya kisi ko Tumhari is Tarah insult karne nahi dunga

But he really consider his nanko as chota baccha jisko meenu ne bigaad diya hai Isliye vo apna saara gussa meenu pe nikaalta hai, though it's not completely incorrect but fir bhi he has to realise soon what kunal is capable of 🙄🙄

Thank god atleast mishti kunal se beg nahi Kar rahi, little relived, in fact she said ki hum kunal ki soch ko badal Nahi sakte, I am happy that she's not bothered about him

Itv mein ya to females bahut acchi hoti hai ya bahut buri , you can't do anything about it 😅😅

I am really shocked by Varsha's characterization though, her marraige was a love marraige too, still She's behaving like this 🙄🙄

I completely agree with you. Abir should be making Kunal realize that insulting someone without any fault of theirs is very wrong. He can't just let that go down the drain and telling Mishti that she might be prone to more such in future. I hated thar dialogue but I think he was being practical.

I really feel bad for Mishti. In her house, Jasmeet and varsha taunts her..

In RV house, kuhu, kunal and meenu won't leave any stone to taunt her..

Very bad that she isn't wholeheartedly accepted anywhere with no fault of hers. Kuhu even says she is not that much of a worth. Really?

No one us really taking a stand for her apart from saying don't talk that way. I really hope baba does something. Bcos it's going over bored now.

The problem is with the RV household is that they all mollycoddle Kunal. No one bothers about Abir and his feelings. When Ben Baa blasts Parul that you can't see your son's pain I felt that was so hypocritical because she herself refuses to acknowledge Abir's pain. She is like it's my upbringing due to which Kunal feels bad that Abir hasn't called which precisely is the problem because she hasn't taught Kunal that he is the younger one and when he commits mistake he should be the one trying to contact his elder brother. But if you see even Nanu and Parul were happy that Abir is making noodles not once did they reprimand Kunal that he should talk to Abir. It's like everyone has this expectation that Abir will fix things which is why Abir is taking the first step. Does this mean he devalues Misthi' s insult well he did call out his brother that day and did tell him he was wrong. The show does have issues with how they show Mish getting insulted and how it gets brushed under the carpet.

The problem is when women don't acknowledge this mindset themselves then I'm sure this is how they will be treated by men. They have to say that it's not okay to give in to a chauvinist pig. For this they must not accept whatever trash is coming their way.My problem is the portrayal of women in such poor light.Since I myself handle advertising business I come across such stereotypes almost everyday. The makers don't realise that audience cannot gulp this bitter pill every time,as they are really exposed to good content on the web and it's a matter of time they will make the right choice.

I agree with you Zara but it's not about the perception people have in the Rv household about kunal or how that family handles relationships but my problem is with the magnitude of insensitivity shown by people for this girl .It just goes to prove that these women can only manipulate, cheat ,lie and deceive. The quotient of conscience is completely absent.I'm surprised how these women cease to be human. So why can't the humane side ,the achiever side or the compassionate side to a woman be portrayed. This is a character sketch of a gender I do not agree to at all.

Exactly, until women will not voice out men itself will not bother about it

Yeah that's true, now audience have lots of choice, instead of watching infinite drama they can switch to logical finite series

Though the show has done pretty good job in breaking stereotypes and showing the progression on itv, still there's lot of scope to improve 😊👍

Yes here I agree with you that the show has dearth of positive female characters. Most of the females are just their as show pieces who add nothing to the story and are only involved in ridiculing the FL. I am disappointed with RS because the parent show had loads of positive characters but here it's the other way around we only have what 4 or 5 good characters rest lack substance.

You are so right.Abir is asking Mishti to be prepared for the worst as he's so sure that kunal is incapable of behaving himself. This is the only part in his journey so far that I do not agree with him. Also if he's not certain of what Mishti might have to put up in Rv house then he rather call it off now rather than letting this poor girl suffer.A manipulative and abusive family can really wreak havoc later.
