@Bold - I completely agree on this. This is exactly what I believe Kunal thinks about himself and Abir as sons of the house as well. While I think Kunal is not as 'consciously' controlling as Meenu is, to some degree he likes to control everyone and every situation around him as well. This was very obvious in the way he tried to control Mishti during their courtship phase and the way he pushes his opinions on his brother all the time expecting him to comply. Abir does comply most times out of love more than anything else giving him the false impression that he has always been able to control his bhai as well. Basically the fact that his bhai could stand against him for anyone let alone the girl that he despises with all his heart was obviously a really bitter pill for him to swallow.
Meenu is a complete no brainer. She lives to please herself. Period. She doesn't give a damn about others. She is another one of those crazies that somehow try and tell themselves they are doing the world a favor by committing the most henious crimes against humanity and nature. This one, restricted to her family. I can't imagine how that house would survive if Abir wasn't around to constantly challenge both the crazies in the house and maintain average level of 'sane'-ness in that place which would have been a mental asylum otherwise.
I mean I really don't understand how anyone can hate Mishti of all people unless they are crazy you know? Like, how do you hate that girl who got your daughter back home, sacrificed her self respect for a girl that doesn't deserve it, only because she was family? How can you not respect her? I'm telling you, Abir is the only 'normal' person in that house. 😵 Mishbir deserve a better place to call home.
Kuhu is back to being herself. No surprise there. I guess it takes only two days for you to forget that you almost murdered your own sister and go back to being the sister-hating-blaming person that you always have been. I am not even expecting much from this character anymore. What a complete waste of a character this one has been. Thanks makers!
The absolute disappointment that I am currently feeling watching Abir trying to pacify Kunal, buying him gifts and apologizing to him instead of trying to get him to apologize to Mishti for that absolutely disgusting stunt he pulled on Mishti is making me so mad! I guess I really can't expect anyone to fight for Mishti's respect on the show. He could have pacified and bought him the gift after he got that apology from him. This wasn't a simple insult or taunt thrown at her that he can forget. This show really makes these characters behave in the most despicable way and then sweep them all under the carpet like it was never a big deal in the first place.
What is wrong with them? Kuhu and Kunal are being treated in the worst possible way. Everyone letting them do whatever they want and getting away with it? When will these two learn? Will anyone call them out for the things they do and get Mishti the justice that she deserves? I would be absolutely livid if someone that I cared for were ever disrespected the way Mishti was that day. Even if it was my own sibling, I'd never let them get away with it, forget apologizing to them. What are the makers doing?😵
I think the biggest issue with Abir right now is that he thinks he can win over Kunal's trust and make sure he is ok with Mishti with his love. Thats what he has been doing all his life. Giving in to Kunal's wishes. And he believes that if he keeps trying that way, one day Kunal will give in too. He is yet to realize that Kunal has reached a point where his love antics to make sure he is ok will not work.
And thats the difference between Mishti and Abir for siblings bond. Mishti does still care for Kuhu and will think for her happiness but when she needs to show Kuhu her place, boy she will not stop. Because ever since childhood, all Kuhu has done was fight with her. So Mishti knows in some cases, Kuhu is a lost cause and hence she doesn't give in then. If Kuhu is rude to her, she will make sure she shows Kuhu her place too. Abir never had to do that. He has always and always given in to Kunal. Yes, whatever happened was extreme and Abir should have known. But this is the start of the extreme that he has started noticing now. Yes, there were moments earlier as well that he noticed but they weren't as extreme. And other times where Kunal has insulted Mishti, he has no idea of. He knows Kunal as this unmatured child, who just needs to be sat down and spoken to. For him, his brother is his child, a spoilt one of course. And as someone said, Kunal has not only been spoilt by Meenu and Abir, but by the whole damn family. So that child like image will only break when Abir gets to know what stupidity and to what length Kunal went to spoil everyone's life and happiness and I think thats when his patience will give up. I believe he is currently looking at a bigger picture of making sure things are ok between Mishti Kunal, so that everyone is happy.
What i still like or respect is that he isn't giving up on this. He wants Kunal to accept Mishti whole heartedly and he is trying his own ways. They might not be as harsher but according to him he is doing right. What the family wants is that Mishti stays away from Kunal. And Abir knows that not the treatment. Its like you know you have a wound but you are ignoring it by distracting yourself and not putting the right medicine at the right time. Unfortunately, you are letting that get infected. Thats what the family did when Kunal was ditched by Shweta. They didn't treat his wound. They distracted him with more work and hence for now, every girl that ditches him is Shweta. He doesnt care that there is a different opinion. He doesn't care to see that not every girl who leaves him or breaks off the relation with him will be Shweta. And hence, I think Abir is not repeating that mistake. Like he told parul, Kunal has to accept that Mishti is a part of his life.
Yes! that doesn't necessarily mean I support Kunal. I am hoping he has the longest redemption track possible. He definitely doesn't deserve an easy forgiveness.
And coming to Kuhu!! i think she is another such example of being a pendulum. She is highly insecure in her own world. She is like Kunal, who blames the world for the miseries in her life, even if she is herself responsible for it. The moment she sees the sign of danger, she runs for self protection. And thats exactly what she is doing right now. The situation is tensed. Kunal and Abir are fighting. The two brothers who never fought according to her are now fighting. And the reason was for Mishti. She doesn't get the invaluable support from Kunal like Mishti gets from Abir. And she doesn't want to feel embarrassed by people knowing about their relationship. And she is constantly scared that the way Kunal is being right now, one day he might lose it completely and reveal to the world, the truth about their relationship. Thats the last thing she wants and hence she is being another child who wants everything without costing herself anything, but costing someone something! For Kuhu, it will be the biggest eye opener, like Abir, when they get to know that it was not only Kunal but even meenakshi, who was involved in the crap. I think the day they will know that Meenakshi only wanted them to get insulted and didn't actually wanted the wedding to happen, will be the day Kuhu will also realize that she has been till now blaming the wrong person. Maybe I am expecting too much from this character. But she is that confused. Doesn't make any of her actions right though just because she is confused soul. She is wrong. But she is that confused insecure child who wants everything. But she will also talk sense sometimes when needed. So she will surprise us and also disappoint us! I think her Karma will be knowing how Kunal is still treating her as a doormat and is trying to prove that she is mentally unstable.
