Kunal at this point is a gone case. He has an emotional range of a 4 year old for whom bhai is his favorite toy. I mean what was that I can't share you with anyone else crap. Also he had asked Kuhu not to create a ruckus since it was his brother's important event but here he himself went ahead and threw a hissy fit and that too in the worst way possible. He could have reprimanded Mish gently as well but no he had to shout and manhandle her. What I love though is how the show is portraying a typical MCP egoistic ML in terms of Kunal and how Abir is shown to be the perfect foil to his character. I love how Kunal's behavior is actually called out on in the show and is not excused Abir was on fire today when he asked his bro to apologize. Loved how he said that even pooja/veneration is not bigger than a women's honor. A part of me is glad that Kunal's ugliness is now in the open in front of Abir. It's high time Abir sees his bro for what he really is.
@Bold - Exactly what my opinion of his character and that entire scene was. Any sane person who actually cares about someone else's happiness would never behave the way Kunal is behaving right now. He keeps saying how much he loves his brother but I honestly have never seen him put Abir before himself. Not once. He keeps saying he agreed to Kuku's marriage alliance to separate Mishbir but I honestly only saw a rejected chauvinistic, egoistic man wanting to teach a girl a lesson for rejecting him. He likes and supports Abir as long as it is everything he can agree with.
Uru rightly reminded us of the Cyclone incident which clearly showcased where his priorities lie. His hatred for Mishti was clearly above his concern for his brother. If that doesn't say anything about how completely self-absorbed and immature the guy is, I don't know what will. In comparison, him throwing a fit in the worst way possible, not only embarrassing himself but insulting Abir in both personal and work front should't be that surprising I guess. I was thanking the lords for listening to me for once and making the writers address the insults being thrown at Mishti all the time. If there was any situation that demanded Abir's interference, it was this. So I was first relieved and then ecstatic that they managed to do justice to Abir's role which has never disappointed or failed to deliver so far. The way he stood up for her made me proud as someone who admires Abir as the person that he is and also someone who has been rooting for Mishbir's relationship. What I mean by it, is that Abir would have absolutely stood up for any girl in Mishti's place. But the fact that Kunal had the audacity to misbehave with the girl that meant so much to Abir, made the scene and Abir's reaction even more significant. He didn't hesitate for a second to call Kunal out for it and demand an apology. Shaheer nailed that scene!
And I agree on the absolute contrast between the two brothers. The show has been doing a wonderful job on making it really obvious. I am really glad Abir now knows how awfully Kunal has been treating Mishti. I sincerely hope he gets to know about Kuhu as well, especially if she goes back to being the bully that she has ceased to be the last couple of episodes
