Yes the difference here is the way in which they treat the characters and their reactions. Justifying the tagline rishta vahi baat nayi...right now so far so good but what tomorrow has in store for us we don't know..let us enjoy the amazing episodes we get right now. They deserve all the appreciation

All I can say is this is the only show on ITV that am watching presently and will continue till it interests me. It has subtle ways which is what I like the most. Abir has been a star in this show followed by mishti. Kunal and kuhu both for me have likeable as well as not likeable traits which is what gives their characters scope of growth as well as the actors to perform it. I love the background scores of this show. And the technical team is doing a good job considering it’s a daily soap. I sure give a shot to the shows if I think I can in which the actors I like work but give up in a week or so if I don’t like the show.

This is a daily soap and each epi cannot be perfect going by ITV standards ... there will be epis we go gaga about and there will be times when we ll be upset. But in all this it should stay true to the context and logical(in some way) . This one has ample of positives. I don’t get how some people point it regressive. Isn’t it always about good vs bad most of the times . If they don’t show some section of old school thoughts how will they emphasize on liberation and empowerment which is what Abir and mishti stand for. So Ben ba or badi ma represent those mindsets which need a change. Kunal and kuhu are inbetween the two extremes ... each character will traverse this journey during the course of this show. I don’t think it is so difficult to understand what makers are trying to highlight here.

Anyways, I am enjoying the show thoroughly and look forward to watch the next epi each day. Rhea Sharma is growing on me... she has very subtle yet powerful dialogue delivery. Ritvick is doing really well as Kunal. Very easy on eyes! Shaheer Sheikh and his magical voice brings so much charm to Abir. He is doing absolutely great as Abir !

The courtship track was an eye opener for ppl like me. Now I know the importance of marital courtship before marriage.

Secondly bgm is the best. Even nowadays my nephews and my daughter are also singing dheere dheere song .

I totally agree with you.After a long time i am watching a show on TV. So far i am very happy with the show.

Some characters are really regressive and very annoying. But which show doesnt have this kind of characters.The concept of the show is progressive and so far makers have maintained it properly.

I really want to know the past of Bigben and Parul maasi.

Totally agree especially with the trip and fall, stupid nok jhoks part. Really irritating.

I am also glad that there is no pinning the herione to the wall and making his point scene in this show

- Good plot has no correlation with TRP (this has been apparent for years if you take a look at the TRP toppers). So there is absolutely no connection between the average TRPs and lack of story in the show.

- I don't find it regressive either. Yes a lot of characters are regressive but so far, the writers have done a reasonably good job in emphasizing that their thought process is wrong. If all the characters are equally progressive, there is no scope for drama. If Meenu, Kunal, badi maa etc. are regressive, it is balanced by Abhir, bade papa and nanu who advocate Mishti's right to make her own choice.

- The lead characters have been written reasonably well so far. There is no forced romance, random trip fall catch scenes and stupid nok jhok between them. There is an emphasis on their emotional bonding and how well they understand eachother. Which is quite unlike what is shown in most other shows.

The show is definitely flawed. The misguided courtship track, mollycoddling of Kunal and no character highlighting his faults, Meenu and Parul's melodrama, Mishti and Kuhu's random back and forth etc. etc. Despite all that, I think the show is worth a watch. The lead characters have enough charisma and the story is not unpalatable either. Am I the only one who is liking it despite all the flaws? Am certain I will stop watching the day it gets unbearable but so far so good is what I think.

This is the kind of post i visit IF for. Constructive critism are always appreciated. And no you are not the only one. There are people outside this forum who are really enjoying the show. I have friends who love the show for different reasons. Some like Abir Mishti’s jodi, Some like strong headed Mishti, and some czz of Shaheer. But one common thing they all tell me is that the show is very refreshing and they like the directors aoproach on drama without being OTT. We all have been focusing too much on negative and ignoring good posts like this. Thankyou for this much needed post.

No, no, show is much loved, I can tell you that. On Twitter, EVERY SINGLE DAY, I have new ppl liking tweets, joining convos abt the show. NO all of them are not doing gun gaan of teh show's every track and feature. THey ARE also criticisng but its sensible criticism, the kind u expect from a thinkign audience. That's perfectly fine.

The important thing is that there are tons of ppl loving the show JUST for teh story/ content.

I don't watch ANY OTHER show on TV but this one adn I migth be a Shaheer fan but I wont see his show unlees the story is good adn content appeals to me.

Dont go by IF. IF has a huge number of ppl who don;t like Shaheer and so by extension find everything he does horrible 😃
