No, you're not the only one. Count me in too. And the fact is, I WAS neither a fan of Shaheer nor Rhea nor Ritvik when I started watching this show ('was' because I like them now 😳). So you can take my opinion as a neutral viewer.

I love this show!! Yeah, as you mentioned, there are many flaws but tell me which show has not? Every show you like will bore you, annoy you at some point because it's Indian TV that we're talking about. Sometimes writes have to change the script for the sake of trps, the shooting goes on on a daily basis so it's a tough job, sometimes actors are committed to some other works, sometimes things don't go as planned. Plus, there's pressure...from channel, for trps coz you can't predict the fate of the show. We are well aware that any show can shut down at any time.

You know what I've just started hating this word 'regressive'. Lol. Why do we watch tv shows? For some entertainment, right? And if you ask me, this show is not just entertaining but realistic too. It's also trying to give a good message to the society. Now it's up to people how they want to see it. To each their own.

Now talking about YRHPK, I, too, was bored of the unnecessary drama & the story was being stretched. I initially liked Meenu's character. I thought she is not outright negative. Anyways, I feel there are chances of improvement for sure... For the script, character sketches & screen space of all the four leads. With all its flaws, this show still manages to keep you hooked. It's because it has its own charm and freshness. The casting of the show is just perfect! And this show surely has a great potential.

Same for me. I wasn't fan either but I like the cast. It works well. for now good outweighs the not so good elements.

I cant say for all but I can relate to this show.Going through something similar. And totally not expected something like this on ITV.

Characters are not OTT(atleast not all). You can find them around you.

That is what brings me to it every day. I will watch it till that remains , enjoy it.

Ok I caught hold of this show after some 35 episodes but glad that I am not much late. This show has got amazing starcast fantastic actors superb background score beautiful cinematography brilliantly written dialogues special mention to abir's shayaris and oh my my it has a special couple song as well..like wowwww .and the cherry on top is it has a story to tell which is not only beautiful but could actually end up inspiring many. I don't know what more can you ask a TV show to have. All in all this show is like a breath of fresh air and I am loving it.

I feel they portrayed the courtship angle in the best way possible since no ITV show has ever given FL this much of independence to make a strong decision on her own. The pace is fairly good and I don't think they have dragged it. I'm excited to see how the love story unfolds. It's all about the imperfections that make a show perfect. As long as there are sane characters who don't come out as OTP mahaan/sanskari, I'm cool with watching it. The balance between characters who are regressive and progressive churns out the plotlines in the show.

I personally think they could have done a better job with the courtship. It lacked depth and the writing was pretty haphazard IMO. However, I like how they concluded it. So glad they did not take it till the mandap and show a dramatic realization of love for Mishti. Yes they can definitely improve on the writing and make the show more coherent, stop making Meenu talk in that monotonous tone and cut down on badi maa's melodrama but so far the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.

Btw was missing your posts in the forum .

Haha I was waiting for the annoying courtship to end 😆

I was afraid they will end the courtship in a terrible and cliched way. Am glad it was done before engagement and not at the mandap and it had nothing to do with Abhir 😆

Honestly I can never watch a daily soap just because I like an actor. Maybe I can give it a try if its an actor I like but I can never continue watching just for an actor. The show has good actors but more than that, the story is decent and love story has been handled well so far. Which is why am giving it a chance. Hope it lasts 😆

God knows I tried KZK for Parth and for nostalgia's sake but couldn't last more than 3 episodes :/

Yes there are certain points that need improvement but you rightly said that the positives outweigh the negatives and by a good margin ..chaval me thode kankad is fine ..glad that kankad me thode chaval aisi situation nahi hai.

So far definitely. I think even in the midst of the courtship track I hated, Abhir-Mishti interactions were the saving grace. I really like how they have kept it non-shallow and non-lusty so far. Its always been about Mishti's character for Abhir. And their interactions have more substance and less candy floss which makes their story interesting.
