So while I find the cross-connection really annoying, I personally have a few do's and don'ts when it comes to how the track should end (though I am desperate for it to end as soon as possible)-

- I don't want it to end because of Meenu and her plotting. That just ruins the purpose of it all (if at all there is a purpose 😆)

- I want Mishti to decisively realize that Kunal is not the right one for her and stop being so oblivious about her feelings for Abheer. And this should somehow lead to the end of the track. Not plotting and planning.

- I dont want Kunal to fall for Mishti. Its obvious the guy lights up in Kuhu's presence. Do not ruin the future devar-bhabhi equation and do not get the poor guy to be heart-broken again/sacrifice for his bade bhaiya. He deserves better. Do not ruin Kunal-Kuhu in the process as well and make Kuhu his second choice. Kuhu is better than Mishti in everyway as far as Kunal is concerned and everyone does not have to fall in love with the female lead. Kuhu and Kunal deserve better. So do Abheer and Mishti.

- Make someone talk about Abheer's marriage. Atleast a monologue from Abheer about why he hasn't got married for so long. He is not a gunda/unemployed irresponsible brat/psycho/alcoholic/drug addict. Someone please bring up that topic so we can understand why no one in his family cares about his marriage.

Will add more to this later 😆

Great post.. I see this happening and Mishti to slowly start realising this isn't quite working

As annoying as the actress and the execution is, I can see the point of this too. See, its a lesson to all those people who think they can avoid uncomfortable topics. BigBen is avoiding anyone to enter her family who can question her status. Be is bahus like Mishti and/or Kuhu or her own husband. Her intention is ofcourse not agreeable to most, but this is her reason atleast

@bold - I dont see it happening either. He is, till Friday, simply doing this as a favour to Mishti

I may have honestly dreamt it. (I can dream about Abeer till cows come home)... I dont know why but I seem to recall someone saying something to the effect of "abeer wont marry, atleast you marry Kunal"... I might totally be making this up. Because I see it like that. He does not want the jhanjhat of marriage. It will pin him down to this house and he wants to have the ability to elope as and when he feels suffocated

Even I sometimes wonder y nobody is concerned about Abeer's marriage. In indian society elder one gets married first but here the Ganges flowing in opposite.

I agree with your 3rd and 4th points.

Agree with all of your points. I do not want Kunal to fall for her at any cost. It will be kindof awkward to watch since both brothers are very close with each other. I want Mishti to realise that Kunal and her might have same likings but share different viewpoints. It would be nice to see her realising that he is not someone she would want to spend the rest of her life with. Tab courtship ka asli matlab banega.

I think they brought up Abirs marriage topic on few initial epidoses, maybe around holi time. But he brushed off the topic by saying he doesnt have tume for marriage and all.

This series is set in Indian society. A guy is considered “eligible” if he is a doctor, an engineer, a government employee or a businessman. If he is something other than these, then he is not given the first preference. Here Abir is everything that is not considered as “important” for being considered as eligible for their daughters. Which father will be ok to marry their daughter to an artist, who runs an NGO and doesn’t have a steady income. The way he is seen is that he is living off of his brother. So if their daughter is married to him, she will not be happy. She will not get what she deserves as he will not be able to provide for her.

Then there is the whole fear or future. What if Kunal’s wife makes him throw Abir out of his life. What if she convinces Kunal not to provide for Abir. What if their daughter is mistreated by Kunal’s wife. Abir will not be able to protect his wife as he is dependent on his brother for money. What about kids and their education. This is how typical parents of daughters think.

Then there is Abir himself. He is looking for a girl who likes him for himself. Not for his family name or the fortune of his family. He wants a girl who is smart but at the same time is simple too. He wants a girl who trusts him and what he is doing from her heart. He doesn’t want a girl who thinks that after marriage will change him into a businessman like his brother. Then there is the whole fear of abandonment like how his dad did.

He has a very small pool of girls who will meet all these criteria. And he is also on the radar of very few people. Hence the family has almost given it up as a hopeless job.

I really hope it happens soon. It gets annoying after a point to see Mishti being that oblivious about her feelings. There have been multiple occasions now where Mishti should have realized this is not working. I see no introspection on her part and badi maa makes it worse with her emotional blackmailing 😆

Honestly I want Mishti and Kunal to take a stand and end this alliance. Not because they are manipulated or Meenu creates a situation where they say no. I really want it to be organic where Mishti first realizes its not working with Kunal, then come to terms with what Abheer means to her, fight it initially and then give in. Am I asking for too much?

@bold - I dont see it happening either. He is, till Friday, simply doing this as a favour to Mishti

I don't trust Indian TV tbh. I really don't want them to make it look like poor Kuhu gets everything only because Mishti sacrifices or lets go of it. Whether its a silly job or life partner. All the characters deserve better than a cliched troop of both brothers falling for the female lead.

I may have honestly dreamt it. (I can dream about Abeer till cows come home)... I want them to articulate this in the show though. As to why even nanu does not care about his marriage. It is always about Kunal and his shaadi and his feelings. I don't think that family even realizes what he wants or goes through 😆

Yes. Kunal falling for Mishti makes it cliched daily soap drama. Ruins Kunal and Kuhu in a way, ruins future devar-bhabhi equation and am already done with Kunal-Mishti and their boring interactions 😆

I see where you are coming from. But for a moment lets forget what Abheer wants. What about the family? Yes the guy might not be some hotshot business tycoon but-

-He is a sweet helpful guy who runs his own NGO

-Looks good

-Belongs to a rich and decent family

Am sure he can get rishtas. Maybe not from Nita Ambani or Ratan Tata but normal rishtas toh milta hoga. How come the family just does not care? How come no one even mentions it in front of him? If there is a backstory where they did and he refused, at least show that na. Given Abheer's penchant to not stay at home, its even more weird that noone in that conservative household suggested marriage. Whats weirder is that no one from the Maheshwari family even asked this question. I think I just really dislike how Abheer is treated by both families 😆

Amen sister. smiley32 Agree with everything.

1. I don't think it will end because of Meenakshi's plotting simply because they will not allow the 'vamp' to prove the 'female lead' is an unsuitable wife/DIL. Her antics will create lots of problems but the Kunal-Mishti alliance is will probably end with Mishti realising she likes Abir and Kunal realising he likes Kuhu. While the cross-connection was created by Meenakshi to serve her purposes, it will most likely be ended by the foursome, 'cause justice in TV land is always delayed and poetic. smiley2

2. Yes Mishti, please wake up and smell the mishti doi. 🙏It's alright if this realisation is gradual but give us small moments at least.

3. ABSOLUTELY! Gosh, so true. I hate how TV shows make EVERY character revolve around the FL. Kunal does not have to fall for Mishti the same way Mishti will not fall for him. It's so obvious they don't have any chemistry so it would make ZERO sense for him to fall for her. I too think Kuhu deserves better and should not be his 'second choice'. Don't make that another bone of contention between KuShti 🙄

4. Nobody cares about Abir, IDK why. As Shaavi said, it may be cause Abir is a self-confessed non-conformist, so people don't expect him to tread the conventional path, unlike Kunal. It is confusing as to why such a traditional household would not care about the older son's marriage. All Indian households that have same sex siblings usually want the elder to marry BEFORE the younger sibling. This is not followed only when the older sibling is male and the younger sibling is female, like in Ketki's case.

Yes. I don't want Mishti to realize overnight that she loves Abheer. But atleast don't follow the cliched troop where she is okay with the engagement and realizes just a night before that Kunal is not right for her. Make it more gradual. Right now I see zero introspection on Mishti's part. Whether about Kunal or Abheer. Kunal is rude, they fight, then make up, badi maa gives some nonsense advice and they are back at it again. She spends time with Abheer, he goes out of his way to help her and her family- again no introspection. I don't want to see Devdas Abheer feeling terrible about himself juxtaposed with boring Kunal-Mishti scenes 😆

And yes, poor Kuhu man. They already had to make her get the job only because Mishti sacrificed. Dare they do that even with Kunal. I really want Kunal to choose Kuhu because he loves her. Not because Mishti did not work out.

Nobody cares for Abheer. His family is all about Kunal, his shaadi and Meenu and her feelings while the Maheshwaris are obsessed with Kunal. Badi maa is a certified Kunal bhakt 🤣
