I have had a cousin who was very similar to Kuhu in my life. She had a very insecure because of me even though I never did anything in real to give her that impression. She was my aunt's daughter and at times I used to stay there. Her father was very friendly with children and I liked him for that. He would take us to zoo and parks and tell stories while my dad did not. It did not mean that I wanted him as my dad or that I would take her place in any way. Yet she feared that her parents may love me more than her because of my traits and nature. This fear increased especially after my dad died when I was still a little girl. She did not want me to be too friendly with her sister too. Because she feared that her sister might like me more than her too.

Mind is an abyss at times. Why a person feels the way he does is known only to them. It may make sense only to them. I was reading about this serial killer who ate the heart of one of his boy victims. He said he did that because he thought by doing so, he could also become strong and courageous like that boy.

Although the family loves both the girls, given that Mishti wins in sports at school as well as does better in school has created a barrier between the two girls. The family will be more happy about Mishti's accomplishments and celebrate it while Kuhu is not. Also since the family knows Mishti's backstory, they pity her and try to compensate what Mishti doesn't have by showing more love for her. They try to make sure that Mishti is not reminded of her father or that she is not part of the family. They put extra effort to make her feel like she belongs to the family. While the family does none of these things to Kuhu. It's like the first child being jealous of the attention the second child gets.

Only when Kuhu grows wiser and starts understanding life will she be able to come out of her insecurities and realize the love her family has for her. That is when she will be able to let go of her fears.

Oh my god that's terrible ! I hope your cousin is alright now !

About Kuhu like I said in other threads I prefer Grey characters over blatant positive or neagtive ones , there are two possibilities , either the actor isn't doing justice to the charcter , she is unable to convey kuhu's inscurities and fears to the audience or the writers were unable to sketch her character properly. I am unable to see how and why should I sympathise with Kuhu ? ( whereas there are enough american/british shows I've watched where I understood and could sympathise with the character )

But I really do wish kuhu gets over her insecurities and I think the truth of her illegitimacy will serve as the key to her happiness because she might finally let go off her insecurities. Filhal she's unprepared for marriage , she should start loving herself and valuing herself first , jumping into marriage , being unaware of the reality won't do her any good.

I hope she does.
Still wouldn't ship her with Kunal but will start liking her atleast.
Yes it has quite a good amount of similarity with sathiya.

The thing is the CV's seem not to care about Kunal. Shaheer and Rhea being the face of the show is the only ones they are concerned about.
Otherwise if they have really planned to pair kuhu kunal up , they should have hired someone who would atleast look good with kunal. And considering how well cast Abeer and Mishti is I believe they have the ability to choose the best. But they did not.
Grey characters are my favorite , because noone in real is blatantly positive or negative but either the actor isn't doing justice to Kuhu's insecurities and fears or Kuhu's characterization is OTT itself.

The only hope is this girl shweta , the CV's has got a second chance to rectify their faila hua raita by bringing someone who will compliment kunal.

And to top it all, Kunal LOOKS so cuteee and adorable yet he has tinge of sombre and mature dripping from him while Kuhu is immaturity reaching its peak.

Not sure about anyone else , but I for one won't ship kuku ever because they've got no chemistry at all. They can develop the story but chemistry cannot magically appear , its just not there , will never be. Also I am not a fan of jhalli girl and silent boy or vice versa stories so they're too cliche for me.

I feel Kuhu's behavior as shown is intentional. That OTT, childish behavior is her mask to hide her fears and insecurities. She wants to tell herself that her family loves her as she is and she doesn't have to act like Mishti to gain their approval. There is also a hint of rebellion in her behavior. She doesn't want to be second fiddle to Mishti in anything. And so she wants to be completely opposite of Mishti. She doesn't want anyone to say she is "like" Mishti in any way. She also doesn't want her family to know how much she dislikes Mishti and is jealous of her. She behaves that way to convince both herself and her family that she is happy and goes overboard in her acting.

Her insecurities are deep-rooted. It took years for it to develop from a simple seed to a huge tree that it is today. It won't disappear in a short period of time. For her insecurities to go, the truth of her birth is not the only thing that needs to come out. It has to be her family's affections too where they accept her as she is even after everything she does in her anger and jealousy. They have to forgive her for everything even without her asking for it.

Still it doesn't give her the right to be rude to Mishti ?
And as far as I have seen and to the majority the actor is unable to portray it.
How can the audience understand/sympathise with her , she's unable to reach out to us ?

And if we're trying to justify her actions then there's a story behind serial killers , murderers , commiting the crime. But their action speaks for themselves.
Similarly whatever kuhu is doing is wrong. Everyone has their share of insecurities but we choose to act upon it. That defines what kind of person she is.

Whatever you're saying might be right but neither the actor/character was able to reach out to us nor reaching out to us will justify her actions.
