So for me this ship at the moment has already sunken way more than the titanic even. I absolutely adore Rohit and Samriddhi - but they’ve actually completely butchered Armaan’s character and to a certain extent even Abhira. In a genuine situation if she cared about her relationship with Armaan she’d talk to her brother about how they can go about this. But she went ahead and then is shown to feel bad for it. Makes 0 sense whatsoever.
Even then her character still is extremely likable and I would not want a kind and empathetic girl like Abhira having to do anything with the Poddars. I want to see their empire absolutely come down to their knees since they are in every sense - a cheap and disgusting set of downright selfish and entitled people.
I would like her story to end as a successful and extremely successful girl who eventually adopts and child . I don’t agree that the FL having a biological childr is the only way to move the YRKKH story or legacy forward .
I don’t think armaan for me can make a come back from where they’ve taken him to- harsh as it may seem - even abhimanyu’s reaction seems ok in comparison with this - because his was a knee jerk reaction and it was in response to an accidental death. This is a planned and plotted move - and out of all attacking her profession- and disregarding the promise he gave Akshara. How is it even possible to justify this - I do not know.
instead of churning out the same rubbish out again n again over decades I wish they’d show something progressive. The FL doesn’t always need a man to bail her out 🤷🏻♀️
Armaan’s character started getting destroyed the day he let his family abuse Abhira physically and emotionally, made her the scapegoat when the deal marriage revelation happened and played the ultimate victim card for a decision he too was responsible for.
Abhira would have definitely let this case go if it was about her. She did the right thing by standing by her brother even after knowing what it will do to their relationship, because she trusted Armaan to eventually see her POV as well after he realizes her situation which has been a constant in their relationship. Her mistake was to underestimate Armaan’s loyalty towards Vidya, which has led her to going to the extent of taking unethical solutions.
Guess they already established Abhira will be a very successful lawyer by showing her win some major cases and KP and Sanjay themselves validating it. In a realistic world it make sense for Abhira to move on, yes, but isn’t this story about 2 characters who are destined to end up together. Why give up on the characters? Why not show a realistic solution as to how they work on themselves and make this a better relationship, wouldn’t that be a more progressive way to end a story. Why make your characters so grey or black and take an easy route by introducing a flawless character, that’s just taking a cowards way out by the writers. When a writer decides to choose one character over another instead of working on both, that’s when viewers lose the real connect to the story.
In spite of the tagline “nayi soch”, this channel is famous for anything but that. There used to be shows which were much more tolerable before, but not in a long time, so it’s futile to expect anything realistic for a character like Abhira. It’s a personal opinion that when the writers have made viewers believe this is a story about 2 people from the start, it’s their responsibility to give a justified ending to that story as well.
