It shows how 🤔 easy to " shame a middle aged woman for the crime she unintentionally committed " ..look at the fans
Abhir is still alive right very soon he will walk too, Vidya going to jail for shorter time could have been better ....By the way Poddar firm really win any case or not ...
Another funny fact in this ITV's Utopia land justice served such lightening speed ...
that too in India
I'm just saying logical law scenario, which DKP or ITV will never follow.
The only reason Vidya could be convicted for 10 years imprisonment would be if she had planned to endanger Abhir's life, not merely a hit-and-run. But merely I say from what I think is standard by IPC (I'm not a law student to know how punishments work in practical). But giving her clean slate and age, it's likely leniency would be provided.
But we know Vidya had not intended to hit Abhir. It was hit and run which would give 3.5 years with compensation. So it's either exaggeration by the writers or they played some dirty tricks in court to prove that the accident was of malicious intent. Obviously it's the former.
Also, yes, justice was served in lightning fast speed even when the accused was of a powerful background.
