Chapter 8

Armaan entered his and Abhira's room in the evening when he noticed their little Daksh in his crib playing with his toys.It had been 4 months since Daksh came into their life and changed it completely.He noticed Abhira's anger which she was trying to control.Things had been tricky between him and Abhira ever since he had signed that termination letter from Poddar Firms but they were trying to get things back on track for now they were not just husband and wife but parents.But today something seemed to have happened.Abhira looked very angry and had not even noticed that he was here...He went and hugged her from behind whispering her to calm down.Abhira took a deep breath and turned around.Armaan brought Abhira closer to him.

Armaan (cupping her face)-Whats wrong jaan ? Itne gusse mai kyu ho ?

Abhira (explaining)-You need to tell Ma to remain in her limits Armaan.Aaj jab mai tumhara lunch bhejne ki tayaari kar rahi thi thats when she told me that I should drop my zidd of pursuing a career and settle at home....That it would hurt Daksh if I went out and I would ruin the peace the home as well.She as good as tried to order me....Tum acche se jaante ho I will not tolerate any comments towards my career.Mera career sirf mera hai unka kuch nahi.....She is crossing her limits.And I am trying very hard.....

Armaan (trying to maintain peace)-Abhira she is Daksh's grandmother.Unhe chinta hogi uske liye unhone tumhe kaha hoga.....

Abhira (angrily)-That is the reason maine tumhe kuch nahi kaha tha.Tum obviously hamesha aapni Ma ki hi side logi.Armaan mai aapna career kiske liye bhi sacrifice nahi karoogi.My mother's sweat and blood have been poured into my career,even yours.....Par unhe toh Dadisa ne kaha hoga to prevent me from working...

Armaan (arguing)-Isme Dadisa beech mai kaha se aayi.Abhira Ma is worried about you......

Abhira (angrily,stopping him)-BAS !! Jinke khud ke koi ambitions nahi hote na Armaan unhe doosre ke bhi sammajh nahi aate.....Jaise Bua sa Charu ke nahi samajh sakti.....Mai ye tolerate nahi karoogi.Agar tumhari soch bhi aisi hi hai toh bata dena mujhe.....

Abhira took Daksh in his pram and went to park with him.Armaan took a huge breath.Abhira had become over protective of her career ever since the termination episode.And he was at fault there so he should tread very carefully....He loved Abhira immensely and he knew how important her career was to her.Armaan changed into something comfortable and went to the park as well.....He saw Abhira with Daksh on the bench of the park.He surprised Abhira when she saw him next to her.....Armaan took Daksh into his arms....He kissed him on his cheek.Daksh cooed happily....Abhira smiled seeing the father son duo....Daksh smiled seeing the birds flying and babbled gibberish things......

Armaan (kissing Daksh)-What is it ? You like birds ?

Daksh replied in gibberish manner..Armaan noticed his son liking nature,that was all from his mother.Afterall she had grown up around nature and mountains and snow....Abhira gave her son a flying kiss and Daksh with his little hands trying to reciprocate the same however the little boy failed....Daksh suddenly had the urge to go to his mother's arms....Abhira took him from Armaan and kissed him on both of his cheeks resulting in cooing and small baby laughs from Daksh....Armaan smiled and chuckled-his son was mumma's boy........Daksh saw a small bird on the ground and tried to jump from Abhira's arms as if he wanted to catch the bird.....Armaan shifted closer to his wife and son...

Abhira (kissing Daksh on his cheek,speaking in baby language)-Ladoo you cannot catch a bird beta.......!!!

Armaan (putting Daksh between them)-He likes nature,just like you.....

Abhira (chuckling)-And he is chidku when he is hungry just like you...

Armaan (taking a huge breath)-He is the best of both of us Ira.....

Krish accompanied by rest of Chorus Gang and Abhir joined Armaan and Abhira.....All of them had lots of fun in the park and Daksh being the happiest....Manisha had noticed some differences between Abhira and Armaan that evening and on the premise of playing with Daksh took him to her room...Daksh loved his chote dadu and choti dadi....He even loved his grandfather Madhav.Even Sanjay phuphasa had great time with him,Daksh being the only person who had ever pulled his beard but Phuphasa enjoyed playing with him.....Abhira was arranging the room when Armaan put everything aside and pulled her to him.Holding her waist tightly,refusing to let his wife go...Abhira's hands on Armaan's chest...He put a strand of hair behind her ears delicately.....

Armaan (softly)-Do you know how long it has been since you said I love you to me ? I miss you Ira....Hum kitna ladne lage hai.We never used to fight this much jaan.....

Abhira (complaining)-You signed my termination letter Armaan....Choti cheez nahi hai.I trust you and you do this....Mujhe aisa lagta hai jaise Ma ke aage meri koi value nahi hai.....Ki Ma se upar tumhare liye koi nahi hai.....

Armaan (chiding her)-Chup pagal.Kya bol rahi ho tum huhh.....I love so so much...Tum se upar,Daksh se upar koi nahi mere liye.You have given me my family Ira- My own family.Jisse mujhe kisi ke saath share nahi karna padta.....yes I love Ma par tumhari jagah koi nahi le sakta Ira.Nobody do you understand....

Abhira (tearfully)-I know par jabse woh baat hui hai.....I feel as if mujhe koi samajhne ki koshish nahi karta.Sabko bas aapni aapni karni hai.....

Armaan (making her look at him)-Relax !! I will make it clear Abhira.Career tumhara hai and nobody has the right to take decisions jaan but stop taking me as your enemy.Maine jaan boojke tumhe firm se bahar kiya tha.I donot want your career at the mercy of anybody....Aakhir firm toh Dadisa ki hi hai.She can remove anybody she wants.Mai nahi chahta that she can hold you hostage in your career......

Abhira (hitting him)-Toh pehele bata nahi sakte the khadoosman.....

Armaan (begging)-Ira please haamre bete ke saamne toh mujhe khadoosman mat bulao.Pata chala woh bhi wohi bulayega......Already mumma's boy hai....

Abhira (warning)-Hey dont call my son that......

Early morning Abhira woke up and went to get Daksh from Manisha's room however she informed her that very early morning Kaveri took him as Daksh was awake.Armaan and Abhira went o Kaveri's room to get Daksh and saw a hilarious scene.Daksh in Kaveri's lap was trying to get the heavy law books to open.Armaan and Abhira chuckled seeing their son already on their path.....While Abhira went to get Daksh and herself ready,Armaan went to Vidya's room to talk to her.This had to stop now.

Armaan (clearing matter)-Ma can we talk ?

Vidya (surprised)-Ha beta bol na kya baat hai.....

Armaan (getting straight to point)-Aapne Abhira se kya kaha uske kaam ke baare mai ?

Vidya (telling him)-Armaan aab baby hai uska.She should concentrate on that.Daksh ke saath rahe.Aab career ki zidd chod deni chahiye usse....

Armaan (taking a huge breath)-Ma mai ye aapko last time samjha raha hu.Abhira ka career uska private topic hai,mera aur uska topic hai.Its not yours to even advice her on.....Daksh is our son.We will handle everything.Usne aapse toh madad nahi maagi hai. Uska career uski Ma ki akhri iccha thi,woh Ma jisne mere liye aapni jaan gavai hai.uska career mera sapna hai.It is my dream to see her as one of the topmost attorneys of the country.....And she will do it....

Vidya (arguing)-Armaan tu toh kama ta hai na ? Phir usse jaane ki kya zaroorat hai.

Armaan (angrily)-I think Abhira ki baat ekdum saahi thi jiske kabhi khud ke koi ambitions na rahe ho,woh uske nahi samajh sakti......Ma its her career,our son......Agar aap aise hi karti rahi na toh Daksh katai aapke paas nahi aayega.....Agar mai aapka beta hu toh Daksh aapni Ma ka beta hai......And donot forget he has his mother's blood......Aap dadi hai Daksh ki.....Par Ma Abhira hai.She knows what is right for her son and what is not.....

Rohit who had been passing by heard Armaan arguing with Vidya and went to defend her....

Rohit (trying to argue)-Bhai ye aap Ma ke saath kaise baat kar rahe ho ?

Armaan (angrily)-Rohit donot interfere.Ruhi aur tere mamlo mai mai nahi bolta.You have no right to speak in my nor Abhira's matters.....Abhira is my wife and Daksh my son.....Aapni had mai reh....(looking at Vidya,folding his hands)-Please bas kijiye ma....Warna kahi iss sab mai mai aapse door na ho jao......
