writers don’t care. In gen2, Sirat was brought in for getting step-sister for FL in preparation for gen 3 as per Icche Nodi track. Even in gen3, when writers were sure HC isn’t renewing his contract, they introduced pregnancy track in preparation for gen4. While they are wrapping a gen, writers absolutely don’t care how that gen ends, it’s all set-up for next gen.

I voted for the show to end. Pakk gaye bhaisahaaaaab. Nothing new to offer. Waise toh the whole channel has the same theme running. But Abhi this show has run its course. 15 saal chala liya.

Gul ne bhi tamarind band karwaya citing to leave when it is still doing good rather than waiting for it to fall.

Yeh show ke advertisers honge. Ab Kitne hai and rate card toh nahi pata but yeh gen last 2 gens se kam kama raha hai.

By that sense,star plus as a channel as whole should be banned cause none of their dramas right now are doing good in terms of storyline.As a viewer of ghum,jhanak and pandya store rishta is doing far far better than all these three combined together and there is some progress in the storyline too.So why should it go off air when it is grabbing decent trps?
