Abhimanyu was angry, short-tempered, arrogant in many occasions. But he never disrespected anyone’s profession. Cause he knows what role his profession plays in his life. He considers it his first love, his hospital is his temple, he has immense respect for it.

Pre-leap, even when he hated Aarohi, he never took out his frustration on her career. He still thought that she deserved a promotion, until she violated the hospital rules.

When Mimi told Anisha that she can’t go back to Mumbai after the wedding, Abhimanyu supported her and said that it should be Anisha’s decision whether she wants to continue to act or not.

I know this isn’t professional per se. When Anand told Nishta that she shouldn’t drive the car that he gifted her and instead keep a driver, Abhimanyu supported her and said that knowing how to drive is a basic necessity and offered to teach her.

Abhimanyu's only flaw was his anger & short temperament, that always leads him to take impulsive decisions.. Otherwise he has always been a well written character & superior than all other characters in the show.

Also, I don't agree with the arrogance part. Abhimanyu was never arrogant.. If he has ever been arrogant, he would have never forgive Aarohi for all her mistakes on multiple occasions.. Also, if he was arrogant, he would have stopped loving & chasing Akshara after being humiliated, insulted & rejected multiple times by Akshara from the beginning itself. He is the only character in the show, who accepts his mistakes, apologizes & also makes the necessary changes, which an arrogant person never does. So, he was never arrogant but ya he has always been possesive & sometimes, even acted selfish when it comes to his love ❤.

Today's episode actually made me emotional when I saw Abhimanyu being happy about Akshara becoming lawyer.. Akshara became lawyer through Abhimanyu's help but she will fight against Abhimanyu & will also separate him from his own son. Abhimanyu's knows all this & still he is happy about it.

Today he reminded me of my favorite Sujal Garewal, he knew that Kashish married him only to destroy him but still he was happy about it..

Sujal I mentioned in one of Diya’s posts few days back, he is the best and the baap of all these gray shaded hero’s ❤️ Rajeev K nailed that character…each and every scene with him was iconic.

AB ❤️❤️, he only wanted a place in his sons life, now that it’s established that he is Abhir Birla - HIS SON, he is not going to fight with her for anything, it’s not in him to hurt her. But, Abhir will make her realize what AB means to him. Only her son can teach her a lesson which she badly needs 😖

I see it more as a lot of self-assurance and self-confidence than arrogance. As you said, an arrogant person would not be able to self-introspect but Abhi does that a lot from time to time...looks inwards and wonders what he's missing. Tries to piece together the logic of something to think things through. He is not a closed mind unlike the false narratives that are pushed about him that he only considers himself right or can't look beyond himself.

He has valid shortcomings like his temper and impulsiveness....but instead of having a rational discussion about those, makers end up twisting and gaslighting him with false narratives about "I me myself" instead.....lol

What I've observed is that he is fundamentally a very blunt-speaking person which can come across as harsh to some people who would rather stay in the bubble of sugar coated talks. He doesn't intend to be harsh but lies upset him so he ends up speaking his mind bluntly on what he finds wrong....but people in front of him end up taking personal offense to that rather than reflecting on the truth in his statements.

He was more self-assured before he fell in love....lol love brought vulnerabilities in his life - the fear of losing a love he felt was a miracle in his life and made him more emotionally volatile....and that is what his journey has been since then - to balance the emotional volatility that love opened in him alongside his core blunt speaking/logic seeking side😆

True true. Let me correct myself. I did not mean literal arrogance, and definitely not from a professional stand-point. Sorry for not being able to articulate that well enough.

It was more of not being able to understand or give importance to others’ feelings or opinions and thinking that his way was the only way.

But he has learnt from all his mistakes and always makes an attempt to try to correct them and change his ways.

I don’t want to derail from the topic of this thread. But yes, I agree with your points! ❤️

I really hope this happens. And I agree, he is one of the best ITV male leads I have seen. Even more than some of HC's other roles because of just how complicated his character is and how much empathy and love he has for pretty much everyone. His relationships with every other person reflect that, not just Akshu.

He always stands up for what is right and tries to be right himself, even when he doesn't know if what he is doing is right. He expresses himself fully, and despite the fact that I am glad he is calmer now, I do really want to see Abhi roaring again. Ak has trampled on his self-confidence so much that he has become a person who isn't sure of himself anymore.

Abhimanyu has always been very vocal about his feelings & opinion.. He is not someone, who will say one thing on face & other thing on the back or will sugar coat brutal facts. He has always been a strong opinionated man..

I see many people say Abhimanyu never respected Akshara just because he used to show Akshara, her mistakes or he questioned her stupidity that has caused permanent life damaging effects. Abhimanyu has always questioned Akshara whenever she did something stupid & I think that's a good thing .. Respect doesn't mean that you will be a yes man to your wife & will never question her stupidity & wrong decisions.

I think only thing that will make him roar now is if Akshara goes back to the zone of telling him he has no rights over Abhir😆.....she still tries to dismiss him as "only biological father" but cuz the rest of the truth is fully out, Abhi atleast doesn't feel he can be denied that truth with his son now. Earlier, it was the sheer injustice of that which was making him show his fierce side more too.

Only other scenarios I can think of for him going into roaring mode are if something happens to Abhir, Akshara or Manjiri....these are the only three he will lose his head over😆

More than his roaring, I want to see him get a moment where Abhir understands his emotions and pain as a father - I want to see him getting that empathy and affection from Abhir.....that will just be the ultimate heartwarming thing to witness after all this time of him being denied his identity and rights as Abhir's father.

Baaki word....this is my fav. character of HC too for the sheer amount of love/empathy he is capable of without being a pushover😆

It is not disrespectful to speak the truth....yes, it matters how and where you speak the truth...that can sometimes be used as a measure to decide respect. For example, it is the plain truth that that Mimi is old....ab usko muh pe buddhi bolenge toh that will be truth as well as disrespectful 😆.

But that is not what Abhimanyu did in Akshara's case....he spoke plain truth to her without demeaning her. His intention was always to call out her delusions, lack of thinking through about her actions or lack of self-preservation. She did the same to him many times too regarding his temper and its consequences...lol how come that isn't called disrespect? If Abhimanyu calls out her shortcomings, toh it’s disrespect but if she calls his out, then it's righteous? 😆......why the two different standards of justice?

Abhimanyu is a layered character & has his own share of flaws. It takes humility & guts to accept your flaws. Accepting your mistakes shows your courage, it's not weakness ..And that's what makes Abhimanyu's character journey worth it. After Sujal Garewal & Sooraj Rathi, it's Abhimanyu who is in the list of my favorite male lead characters.

Abhimanyu is now a broken man & his self esteem & confidence has been brutally crushed as Akshara has made him feel unworthy & undeserving of everything .. I miss OG Abhimanyu, who used to be very self assured & confident man
