Akshara had amazing 6 years, got a husband like Abhinav and had Abhir with her. One day was horrific but she probably had the best 6 years of her life in Kasauli

On the other hand, Abhimanyu had anxiety issues and was popping pills, didn't move on, still hasn't moved on, is living alone, probably will die alone, lost his love and son

For me, he got the punishment he deserved for one wrong move

Yes, he has faced more issues than anyone else. Akshu moved on. So what was her struggle for which Abhimanyu has to apologize?

I agree. If the lead character forgives her ex despite being treated with no empathy, it would send a wrong message to society. That day stays in their memories especially for Akshara who went through a lot. Today's dialogue confirmed that Abhimanyu still has a long journey ahead towards redemption. Merely being a calmer and nicer version of oneself does not equate to redemption.

But he has accepted his mistakes, he has realized it, sorry is not needed for it. Akshara has moved on with Abhinav about time Abhimanyu moves on too
