Sonakshi yes she was a strong character (probably the only strong female character on itv in the last decade ) , but she too couldn't solve these riddles between ma beta , got stuck in between n quit. She too couldn't balance out the equation ..thereby sending a message that it's Impossible to have a happy married life with mammas boys. They can fall in love but never take it to end bec it can either be the mother or wife not both. Sonakshis will also weakened when she continuously chose dev..these were not pyar ke rang. That guy was totally not himself towards the end ..sonakshi hardly had happy and peaceful moments with him....I guess both the women suffocated him with their love and he was just useless , dono ko nai Shambhal saka...

I believe akshu is in a better place bec she had quit the toxic environment (obviously its itv so she will come bk to the same person again and again) but at least for sometime she quits , 6 yrs is long . Plus she chose abhinav , temporary hi sahi. There was a guy post leap who wanted to marry sonakshi (I remember jai Soni also played a cameo as sonakshis suitor previously ) , but she went bk to dev .

So yeah it's imp to show women moving on if they wanna stress on the toxicity of love and marriage.

Honestly I've lost count of how many times this 'why Ak isn't shown a single independent mum' issue has been discussed on this very forum 😅

Also, by independent i never meant only financially (explained), I wanted Akshu to take strong stands for herself I didn't enjoy her being happy seeing Abhir and Manjari- that women says anything to her, blames, Destroy her marriage, she should have said something when she blamed her for Abhi's accident but she just stands there.

About financially the only reason i want Sharma family to be financially strong coz from the start Birlas specially Mahima was taunting her for career and they talk about money and standard alot so just to show her would have enjoyed if the dynamics have changed anyway jab Dhadkan mein Dev ameer ban skta hai toh why not Sharma family 🤣

But i agree with your thoughts alot.

Dhadkan had The ultimate hack 😂 I think Abhinav & Akshara also need to start walking and falling each day 🤣

Sonakshi made mistakes, but she had clear ideas, and the writers always effectively conveyed her viewpoints. She never shied away from confronting Ishwari and Dev. Sonakshi wasn’t flawless yet had a strong personality and sense of identity; Akshara is in no way comparable to her.

However Sonakshi's situation is vastly different from Akshara's; Akshara was abandoned and left alone, but Sonakshi had a loving & supportive family.

Following divorce pregnancy was a surprise to Sonakshi, that’s why she tried to meet Dev and made things clear with her daughter. Dev had never abandoned the baby.

Sonakshi was driven by a desire to succeed after getting insulted by Dixits and was shown to work day and night to achieve it, she had turned into a workaholic, and love was the least of her concerns, which is why she didn't move on with someone else.

Akshara wanted a secure and complete home for her baby , which she didn’t get to have , and married Abhinav , nothing wrong in that 😆.

Experiences shape people & their perspectives, and their’s weren’t the same .

Agree I want to see Akshu sticking to one particular interest and growing or progressing in that, to me she's all over the place, hence I find her immature and unreliable. To see her having moved on so quickly from an emotionally consuming affair so quickly for a person who is shown to be so sensitive isn't convincing.

In UX design there's a concept of personas and roles which define what a specific role or individual can or can't do and to me it felt in S3 the writers never sketched the basic premise for each character. Now after the drastic plot changes due to the two leaps their character redemption arc scope has been narrowed.

It has taken life out of the characters. I think it's well thought out considering they have been running it since 2009 and ensuring audience interest intact is a herculean task, but creativity is all about that old wine in new bottle😆.

Bold my favorite akki movie, I love the husband character a lot(probably reminds me my DH)🤗

I am more concerned about what they will do with her character post nav leaves if they are planning to do so.

Again they will send her back to birlas where as i wamt her to stay strong make abhi realize what was his mistake never let anyone take her for granted.

I want her stand for herself tell everyone you guys don't need me why should i come only when everyone realizes their mistake and apologizes then only she should move back.

There is no comparison at all.

Sonakshi was more transparent, fell in love first, did not shy when Dev proposed. She could not realise the extent of control Ishwari had over her son.

😕

In comparison Akshara's demons start and end within her own family.

Aarohi was and will always be the thornbird.

I would say Akshara married after she realised how Abhinav stuck to her when everything hit rock bottom.

Imagine Bijoy or Asha leaving Sonakshi all alone.

No similarities between Dev babu and Abhimanyu.

Heights of double standards was when Dev character assassinated Sonakshi for having a male friend despite of him having had countless one night stands. Why did she even go back to that toxic family after she had managed to escape it the previous time?

I want to akshu to realise her own mistakes first irrespective of the company she's with. What's life or growth when we can't realise our own demons. Akshu was the main culprit for her as well as others bad plight. Unfortunately sacrificial nature is glorified and celebrated, but sacrifising without foresight is dangerous, being calculated is not all that bad.

I'msurprisedthat not even once BP sits with akshu and helps her understand her flaws.

I want akshu to have the ability to stand up for what's right and to build relationships on trust and honesty. Because living with a dishonest person who lies, hides and never opens up about their feelings is truly painful. When dissatisfaction is rooted into a relationship the cracks manifest in the form of impatience, unreasonable anger etc.

agree. She has to understand everytime sacrificing for some one else is not right. Atleast for the ppl who are not worth of it. And she can never win some one by hiding her true feelings. She hid her feelings for arohi and ended up ruining relations more.

This time also if she has feeling for abhi sacrificing for nav and arohi then again she is doing same mistake which she did long back. That's trying to be good by sacrificing everything. This time she is playing with 5 lives. Nav abhi roohi arohi and abhir.

This post reminded me of edt days of krpkab😆 tias thread and our fun there. When leap.was introduced and dev became sasta dev das Kabir Singh mode it was hilarious. The only good thing about that leap was Sonakshi being the adult sane person let dev bond with the kid. The moment she went back to him, without any head or tails, is the moment it a went down. Of.course she had to, itv woman can't move on...but it was very haphazard. Dev also turned worse, with the stalking and trying to pull ASR. Dev was a lot of things, but he wasn't that.

And then came S3 or whatever and it was just trash.
