Today's (March 5) episode reiterates how Akshu and Abhi aren't on the same paths anymore because they can't see their past the same way and therefore, its hard for them to understand each other.

In this new leap, we never see Akshu remember her 'Abhi'. The Abhimanyu her mind goes to is the one she saw at Neil's funeral. The one who threw divorce papers on her face, papers he just had lying around, and inadvertently insulted their love. The one who threw her biggest trauma in her face and abandoned her after her miscarriage (regardless of one or children lost, she did miscarry that day). The happier memories of Abhira are thrust into her face, whether that be by methi-daana or Abhir's cute antics. Of course she can't forgive him easily - she's so struck by that day that her PTSD of watching another loved one die before her, miscarrying, and childhood trauma is all-consuming.

Whenever Abhi remembers the past, he recalls their happier days, their sweet moments. I don't think Abhimanyu is seeing the full picture of what happened to Akshara that day. He sees how venomous his words were, like the Sirat taunt, but I fear he doesn't understand how much cumulated that day for her. Maybe he thought that she wouldn't go far when he told her to leave and so he's hurt she 'moved on'. Which is why I love Akshu's "I reject your apology" because it reminds him how much she suffered too and how what she suffered isn't too different from him.

Akshu is definitely stuck and can only remember the bad memories of that day. Something has to shake her from her foundations to wake her to the reality of what is happening around her. She's pretending this "move on" but it looks like soon she will have to truly face her decision. Abhinav is making another move on her. What will she truly choose? She has sent Abhi on the path for him to "move on" even though internally he doesn't want to truly commit.

After Akshu put the tika on Abhi's forehead I feel like he is slowly starting to awaken to start seeing things around him. And the prayer to Mahadev for Abhir is another indication of him slowly starting his journey of coming back to his senses.

It just seems both of them are going on these different paths and we the audience are getting antsy and cannot bear to see them apart like this. We want to shake Abhi and have him realize where he went wrong and somehow redeem or show the old Abhi that Akshu fell in love with back. We want him to some how stand by Akshu's side. Problem is he can only say so much because to him she is married and if Abhinav is there he, her "husband" has more right than him to say something.

We also want to shake Akshu and make her realize hiding Abhir's truth isn't right. But I think her keeping this quiet shows just how hurt and traumatized she is with everyone around her. When she needed Abhi the most he ended up turning his back on her. Birlas obviously still angry for Neil’s death. Goenkas basically felt the same and didn't care to run after her. Even after all these years they still don't consider her feelings. Everything is still about Arohi.

That’s the thing, Manish adores Abhimanyu as much as he did Kartik. So, for him to actively wish for and support Abhira’s separation makes me intrigued. What’s going on in his mind? Why is he team Abhinav even though he loves Abhimanyu? Why did he give his blessing for Aarohi’s marriage to Abhimanyu without a fight? He’s acting like a silent spectator and that’s uncanny for Manish Goenka. Especially when it’s the matter of his favourite grandchild, his Akshu, and his favourite person, Abhimanyu. I refuse to believe it’s old age that simmered him down because the way he was riled up during Abhira’s confession contradicts that notion entirely.

Considering how much he adores Abhimanyu, I can’t digest his niceness to Abhinav. Think about it, after Naira’s death, Manish was so torn and for years later, he couldn’t happily see Kartik with anyone else despite no hope of her ever coming back. Despite the love Sirat gave to Kairav and Akshu, he couldn’t let her and Naira coexist without comparisons and competition. Abhira have a chance at reconciliation yet he’s giving Abhinav the respect of Jamai sa while holding Abhimanyu to the stature of a son.

I think he thinks Abhimanyu is a good guy but Akshu & Abhi are not made for each other. They only give pain to each other when they are together

Because he sees how happy Akshara is and how supportive Abhinav is. Do you think he would show the same support if Abhinav was a horrible person or Akshara was unhappy in her marriage? Although, Akshara is struggling with moving on but only she knows that and Manish doesn't. Yeah he does she how difficult it is fo Akshara to be amongst the Birlas but that is completely normal. Manish sees Akshara's happy family and is happy for her. The only thing that irks me is him not taking a stand for her when others insult her.

Which I get but how come he didn't try to vet Abhinav or do a deep dive on who he is after they got married? They never met in person before this leap so how could he trust a stranger with his granddaughter and great-grandchild's hand?

Right now, if I was him, I'd adore Abhinav and I do.

I think this is in direct relation to the first leap. Back then, Ak would always remember the happy times, and Abhi would remember the bad. He was the one stuck back then, and Ak was wrong. Now Ak is stuck, and Abhi is wrong. When I say wrong and right, I don't mean unilaterally. Back then Ak started the issue with going away for a whole year without any communication. Then both of them hurt each other, but during that phase, Ak still remembered the good times and Abhi was always stuck at that one video of her taking Kairav with her.

Even though Ak was blamed for Neil's death, Abhi knows that's not her fault. He is the one to blame for throwing her out. But he still cannot accept that he caused her pain, just like Ak never really grasped that she caused Abhi a lot of pain during the year of absence.

True and I think that is why we are upset with the Goenkas as to why they didn't show any concern for Akshara all these years. Talking on the phone was not enough. Kairav being her brother who she always supported didn't go see her/contact her? why? Now he is concerned for Arohi but didn't think of Akshara at all? Now upset with her over the fact that she got married and told them after? She had to get married because nobody was there to support her. I am sure if she had even a little bit support from the Goenkas she would have raised Abhir on her own. With the mental/physical state she was in at that time, she wouldn't be able to do it on her own.

I too wonder what is happening with Manish.

I don't know if it is because he feels Abhi and Akshu are a tragic couple and it is better for them to be apart that he decided to keep them apart? He lied to Abhi telling him he met Akshu and she is fine. But he never met Akshu. He then told all these things to Akshu's friend which Akshu happen to over hear. She now knows Bade Papa also in some way blames her for Neil’s death.

The strangest thing like you had pointed out is Manish's attitude with Abhi. You would think that after this divorce and Akshu being away from the family that he wouldn't have this relationship with Abhi. I understand that Abhi has been helping to raise Roohi who is Manish's great grandchild and indirectly also helping to take care of Arohi but to totally ignore his care and concern for Akshu who is supposedly his favorite is a big question mark.

Does Manish feel guilty for what he did to keep them separated as he sees that Abhi is actually lonely and sad without Akshu? Does he feel more sorry for Abhi because Akshu just suddenly married without properly informing anyone?

It is so sad seeing how Akshu has no one truly standing in her corner from her own family.

That's my best guess: Manish feels guilty for lying to Abhi, and so is always checking on Abhi to see how he's faring without Akshu.
