It's sad abhi doesn't trust akshu, like how can he even believe akshu can move on and get knocked up so quick! Does he not believe in their love? Does he even know how much she loves him? She was ready to loose her identity for him? How can he think she can move on so fast?
I hope nav being an outsiders helps her understand that hiding abhirs paternity is wrong! She doesn't need to agree with custody rights and all but it's best abhi knows he has a son!
Dr. Birla's brain is in deep freeze. It stopped functioning the day he heard her say she was getting married. From that point on it was she moved on? How did that happened? Why? And considering Birla family they would have poured more oil to the fire and say see she never loved you if she moved on so fast. You shouldn't think about her as she is no longer part of your life. Because for them they only remember how Abhi acted in trying to get Akshu to accept she loved him and how he was when they got together. He was always Akshu, Akshu, Akshu.
Akshu was never very vocal like Abhi because her love language was different. She tried to make his family her family and love all of them. The only thing they knew was her sacrifice but that was messed up due to her not telling Abhi where she was for an year.
Birlas never understood Akshu. Abhi was the only one who had some understanding.
Abhi may have then started regretting what he said to Akshu because she had actually moved on. His words were harsh and he crossed the line. But he still holds her responsible for her actions that day. And what I mean by that it is how they (Neil and her) got into that situation. They did everything right up to the point they drove the car to the NGO. I think that is his biggest issue. The lack of forth thought about her condition being pregnant and Neil almost becoming a father. This then ties with her decision making in general that we have seen her exhibit: delay in communication when things should have been spoken earlier and doing something with good intentions but not thoroughly understanding the situation.
Now we see again her decision to hide Abhir from Abhi. I totally understand her fear as the families (Birlas and Goenkas) treated her poorly. She probably thought she had nowhere to turn since she believes even the Goenkas hold her accountable for Neil's death. But now that fate has suddenly brought Abhi back into her life for a brief period of time it is most likely a sign that she needs to tell him the truth. I think Abhinav is operating under that assumption and also he just wants to do the right thing. Abhi has a right to know.
Life is too short you never know what comes our way next. Will Abhir get sick and will need Abhi's surgery skills? Then he finds out he has a son. Won't she feel guilty he never got to spend time with him? Only a week in Kasauli and now the child may not survive? (Of course we know Abhir is going to be fine in the end if he gets sick)
I find both Abhi and Akshu at fault for the current situation. Abhi crossed the line that day and no one should have been treated the way Akshu was treated that day. He has a lot of redeeming to still do. But Akshu hiding the paternity is wrong.
